Joe Biden finally did something a little more than a strongly worded letter in response to the Houthis firing on the assets of the U.S. and other countries. The U.S. and the U.K. conducted airstrikes against Houthi positions on Thursday night.

But several Democrats (including some of our favorite leftists) were unhappy with that action and some claimed that it was unconstitutional.
The President needs to come to Congress before launching a strike against the Houthis in Yemen and involving us in another middle east conflict. That is Article I of the Constitution. I will stand up for that regardless of whether a Democrat or Republican is in the White House.

Section 2C of the War Powers Act is clear: POTUS may only introduce the US into hostilities after Congressional authorization or in a national emergency when the U.S. is under imminent attack. Reporting is not a substitute. This is a retaliatory, offensive strike.
The Squad was out with the talking points.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), the head of the Congressional Progressive Caucus called it “an unacceptable violation of the Constitution.”
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) also claimed this violated Article 1 by carrying out airstrikes without Congressional approval. She also added, "The American people are tired of endless war."
Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), called the airstrikes “illegal” and urged Biden to “stop the bombing and do better by us.”
But they got smacked with Community Notes.

The people do not want more of our taxpayer dollars going to endless war and the killing of civilians. Stop the bombing and do better by us. https://t.co/PFYYoknib6
"This is false," the Notes explained, They said Joe Biden "has the power to use the armed forces in response to an attack on the armed forces. Houthis launched a missile attack against US and UK ships. The Congressional Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001 is still in force."
Joe Biden is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea here. He got into trouble by delisting the Houthis as terrorists and coddling Iran. Now when that's coming back to bite him and he has to respond, his leftists are turning on him. We've already seen that isn't going well for him in polls with young Democrats, on top of all the other reasons that people have to be mad at Biden about.
Notice what doesn't seem uppermost in the minds of some of these folks on the left? That these folks were firing on the U.S. They seem once again more concerned about the terrorists than they are about Americans and American interests.
Talk about disarray.
