WATCH: Even Jen Psaki Now Throwing Hunter Under the Bus, Reveals What WH Likely Thinks About His Remarks

As we reported last week, instead of complying with a subpoena to do a deposition to the House, Hunter Biden, with the assistance of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) gave a speech from the steps of the Capitol attacking the GOP and then never showed up for the interview. He thus invited contempt charges, making his situation worse, and the House GOP said they would start the proceedings to initiate contempt proceedings against him.

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki isn't a lawyer but she seems to have more sense than Hunter Biden, at least when it comes to what makes sense legally and politically.

Psaki was speaking to a panel on "Meet the Press" and she spilled that the people in the White House have to be thinking behind the scenes for Hunter to please stop talking in public.

"I think if you're sitting in the White House now, you have to be like "Please Hunter Biden, we know your dad loves you, please stop talking in public," she said. "This is not helpful for any of them for him to be out there."  Then she tried to clean it up a bit, saying, at the same time, Joe Biden "loves his son" and is worried about his "mental health."

"That's appealing," she spins.

Yeah, no, I don't think that anyone is finding that appealing in any way of defense of any of this. Everyone loves their family members, but they don't support their family members doing bad things or blowing off subpoenas. Not to mention the greater question that I've mentioned before about Joe knowing about Hunter's statement beforehand and the question of if he had anything to do with him blowing off the subpoena -- which could then be interpreted as obstruction -- an impeachable offense -- when the House is looking into Joe Biden's involvement in corruption and that's why they want to talk to Hunter.

"Yes, the White House would probably like him to go away right now," Psaki revealed about Hunter.

Indeed, he's like a wrecking ball to his father's campaign by making remarks. But the problem is truly the question of Joe's involvement. And it's a little too late to try to close the barn door on all the issues. Joe Biden has already been caught in multiple falsehoods trying to defend his son and himself, saying he never talked business or had anything to do with his son's business, and the facts revealing that he had all kinds of contacts with the business associates.

I'm just going to guess that even though she tried to temper it, this comment isn't going to make Joe Biden happy with Jen Psaki.

Oh, and loving your son doesn't give you a pass as to any potential impeachable or criminal actions.
