Things have not been going well for Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) lately, and a chaotic town hall back in his Bay Area district Wednesday is absolutely representative of that.
As we reported, former Washington Examiner journalist Jerry Dunleavy dropped big news last month in the cases of alleged Chinese operatives involved with Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Swalwell. Dunleavy explained how a source raised concerns about politicization in the handling of those cases, and that the FBI essentially ended the investigations into those matters by giving the two Democratic lawmakers defensive briefings.
The source also had a few things to say about Swalwell’s relationship with Christine Fang, commonly known as “Fang Fang.”
According to the source, the FBI believed, based on evidence they had collected, that Swalwell and Fang has a sexual relationship. Swalwell has always refused to confirm that. How would the FBI know this? According to the source, the FBI had FISA surveillance on Fang, who they believed had also been targeting other politicians as well. So a lot of her actions and communications were monitored. If they have recordings, what must they have collected?
Swalwell was booted off the House Intel Committee by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy because of that situation. But there was a bit of a dustup between the two during a vote to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (DCA) in June. As we reported last week, more information came out on that. Swalwell called McCarthy “weak,” and McCarthy let him have it.
“McCarthy said, ‘If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the sh*t out of you,’” a member claimed to The Daily Beast.
Another member who witnessed the exchange provided even more context: “They were in each other’s faces. Basically nose-to-nose. And Swalwell said something like, ‘Are we really gonna do this?’”
After some back-and-forth, with chests puffed out, McCarthy issued a challenge to Swalwell: “Call me a p*ssy again, and I’ll kick your *ss,” the Speaker allegedly said.
Swalwell got an effective call out by Libs of TikTok who went to his office to ask about why he had allegedly supported a Democratic transgender lawmaker who was later arrested for child sexual exploitation.
But it turns out that he also was confronted by people at one of his town halls at the end of July about his relationship with Fang Fang, the alleged Chinese operative.
Swalwell was talking about the Dobbs decision, the decision that sent the abortion question back to the states. That, of course, is a very democratic move, yet the Democrats, like Swalwell, rejected that. He claimed Dobbs forced “government-mandated pregnancies” when it did no such thing. He claimed he was “for women and their freedom” (while not caring about their vote or the vote of anyone else on the matter in the states). But as he was slinging a lot of bull about the Dobbs decision, people in the back of the room began shouting out he was a “liar” and shouting “Fang Fang,” among other things.
Eric Swalwell got HECKLED at a town hall!

It’s not “government-mandated pregnancies” — the women got pregnant without any help from the government. They want people to be “respectful” to him, not so much to the life of the baby in the womb. He’s also not doing much “for women and their freedom” in their desire not to have biological men in their locker rooms. But I guess it was clear he didn’t want to address being called out on the question of Fang Fang, that one he’s more than a little sensitive about.
