BREAKING: Horrible Omnibus Bill Passes House - Here Are GOP Who Sold Us Down the River

As we reported, the horrible Omnibus bill passed the Senate on Thursday. This, despite there being no way that they could have read the whole bill which was just released a few days ago and runs over 4000 pages. But this is what they do now — they just sign aboard these things, without even caring what’s in them.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) — the Senate Minority Leader — was all on board with this.

Now the $1.7 trillion monstrosity just passed the House, 225-201.

The Democrats voted for it except for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who voted “no” and Rep. Rashida Tlaib who voted “present.”

The traitorous Republicans who signed aboard this thing and sold us down the river?

Nine Republicans — Reps. John Katko (R-NY), Rep. Chris Jacobs (R-NY), Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Repp. Fred Upton (R-MI), Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), and Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR) — supported the bill. Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York voted “no” and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., voted “present.”

Not only did it have incredibly ridiculous agenda Democratic agenda items, but this is just going to make the crushing Bidenflation worse, with all the spending. And it’s giving away all the leverage the Republicans would have when they take over in the new Congress. Why pass this when they could have stopped some of the horrible things in the bill by waiting for the new members, and they wouldn’t have to deal with people like Kinzinger and Cheney?

Hat’s off to people like Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) who did all he could to stop it.

“Everything the American people is watching right now is a complete sham, it’s a fraud,” Roy declared. “The American people deserve us to be here over Christmas actually fighting for them! What you see here on the floor of the House of Representatives should make everybody ashamed!”

Roy pointedly asked how you could say that you care about inflation and are fighting for the American people and then sign aboard something like this, spending even more, while not caring about their concerns and knowing that it’s going to make everything worse. “There are consequences to this. You can’t go and talk about inflation and talk about what the American people are feeling right now when they’re trying to fill up their tanks with gas or trying to have presents for their families. They’re trying to pay their bills.”

But the Democrats and Republicans who voted for it disregard that reality. When the lawmakers do things like that, they’re sending a big signal that they don’t give a darn about the American people, that they don’t care. Anyone who voted for this needs to be held accountable and tossed out on their ear in their next election.
