New Data on Americans Fleeing Dem Party Just Put a Stake Through Their Midterm Dreams

We’ve been talking about a lot of the indicators that there’s going to be a huge tsunami for Republicans in the midterms.

We reported earlier how Joe Biden’s numbers just took another nosedive to their lowest ever. Bill Maher detailed on Friday how and why people are fleeing the Democrats, as we saw with the formerly very reliable Democratic district for decades in South Texas that went Republican Mayra Flores. In addition to the economy, people are moving away from the Democrats because of their moving to the radical left.

But there’s more evidence that the Democrats are about to have their heads handed to them — more than one million voters have switched their party affiliation to become Republicans over the past year, according to Fox.

The GOP is benefiting most in the suburbs of large and medium cities, where voters who supported President Biden in 2020 are struggling with inflation and growing increasingly critical of Democratic social issues, according to an analysis from The Associated Press.

Roughly 1.7 million Americans have changed their party affiliation over the past 12 months. Two-thirds of those have gone to the GOP, while just 630,000 have switched to the Democratic Party, according to the report.

That should be sounding big booming alarm bells for Democrats. If they don’t see the huge move happening here and do something to adjust, they’re going to get pounded. In fact, at this point, I’m not even sure they can do anything. Democrats are toast. People have just had enough of them. And that anger isn’t limited to the folks who actually go to the trouble of switching party affiliation.

However, the response of the Democrats has not been to present policies that would truly improve things. Nor are they re-evaluating their extremism. Rather, they are turning that up, even more, to jack up people’s emotions and create divisions over issues like abortion and Jan. 6. While screaming about Jan. 6, Democrats themselves are attacking the Supreme Court and calling it “illegitimate.” But their effort to distract isn’t working and it may even be backfiring, with people thinking Democrats care more about preserving their power than addressing any of the issues which are hurting Americans now. As we’ve noted, the polls are showing the big bottom-line issues for Americans are still inflation and the economy at 82 and 80 percent. Abortion and Jan. 6 are far down the list.

Even Democratic lawmakers are now acknowledging that Biden is slow to act on any of these issues.

“I support the president’s efforts, but we need a bolder vision and faster action,” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times earlier in June.

“To meet the moment, Mr. Biden should convene an emergency task force empowered to lower prices and address shortages. We need an all-out mobilization, not just a few ad hoc initiatives reacting to headlines,” he added.

But it may be too late to save them now because it’s not just Biden — it’s the rest of the Democrats that Americans are holding responsible for the mess, as well.
