As I previously reported, there are a lot of questions being raised about Hunter Biden’s latest venture – that of selling his “art.”

Why? Because it was announced that they would not be revealing who was buying the art and it allegedly would involve vast sums of money being paid to Hunter through an art dealer.

His ‘artwork’ was being priced between $75,000 and $500,000 dollars apiece, depending on the size and nature, according to Fox Business. As I said, do they think we were born yesterday and we really think this guy’s art is worth that? His art is worth more than the art of even famous artists to start with? According to Fox Business, a piece by Andy Warhol sold for $725,000 at a New York auction, by comparison. So we’re really supposed to believe that Hunter’s art is so inspired?

It’s obviously very concerning that Joe Biden’s son, with the history he and Joe already have, would be getting a lot of anonymous cash from who knows where.

But now the White House is announcing a plan to deal with the question. The plan is setting off so many alarm bells that even Obama ethics chief Walter Shaub is calling it out.

According to the Washington Post, White House officials helped draft a document claiming the names of the purchasers will be kept confidential including from Hunter Biden, that the art dealer would know but Hunter would not be told the names.

Shaub busted the plan.

“So instead of disclosing who is paying outrageous sums for Hunter Biden’s artwork so that we could monitor whether the purchasers are gaining access to government, the WH tried to make sure we will never know who they are,” Shaub wrote while linking to the Post’s report. “That’s very disappointing.”

“The idea’s that even Hunter won’t know, but the WH has outsourced government ethics to a private art dealer,” Shaub continued. “We’re supposed to trust a merchant in an industry that’s fertile ground for money laundering, as well as unknown buyers who could tell Hunter or WH officials? No thanks.”

Shaub further told Fox that this was “the opposite of government ethics” and the White House was getting “the art dealer to promise not to give us the means to monitor whether the buyers are getting preferential access to government” by keeping buyers anonymous.

“Nobody ever said secrecy was the best disinfectant, but that’s what we have now. And White House officials getting involved in any way other than to request transparency amounts to effectively putting an official stamp of approval on the president’s son trading on his father’s public service,” Shaub said.

“Instead, the president should be begging his son not to go through with this sale, even if that means threatening to banish him from the family’s Thanksgiving table this fall and publicly condemning his actions,” he added.

Exactly. Joe Biden said he wouldn’t be involved in his family member’s business in any way before he took office. Yet, crafting this plan and endorsing it proves once again that was all a lie. On top of the fact that it means that Joe is involved in keeping the names from the public and from the ability to be monitored. It’s the very opposite of ethical and transparent.

Example: Person who wants to pay off Hunter tells him, “Hey, you get me a meeting with Dad to help my agenda and I’ll buy some of your art.” How does this ‘plan’ in any way stop that? It doesn’t. It simply prevents us from knowing who the people are.

Meanwhile, check how the Biden team in the White House is pitching it. This deal is evidence, to them, of how ethical they are, rather than what it actually is – going back on this word.

“The president has established the highest ethical standards of any administration in American history, and his family’s commitment to rigorous processes like this is a prime example,” Bates told the Post.

This is the Biden team once again giving us the opposite of the truth.

Reminder: this is the same team who during the transition period, operating with our tax dollars, issued a statement from the transition account and on their website, a statement from Hunter defending himself when it was announced he was being investigated by the FBI. This is the same Joe Biden who was meeting with Hunter Biden’s business associates in the White House, the vice presidential residence, even Air Force Two. But most “ethical” ever. Amazing.
