Fox Tries to Cancel Reporter Ivory Hecker but They Can't Stop Project Veritas Report

We reported on the viral video in which a Houston reporter found a stunning way to announce that she was going to be dropping some big information about her network.

During a live, on-air segment, as she was supposed to deliver a report on the heatwave in the area and air conditioning outages, Fox 26’s Ivory Hecker dropped the bombshell, accusing Fox of muzzling her reports and those of other reporters. She also said that she went to Project Veritas and they would be dropping a big report today.

“Before we get to that story, I want to let you, the viewers, know that Fox Corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you, the viewers,” Hecker said. “And from what I’m gathering, I am not the only reporter being subjected to this.”

Given Big Tech including Twitter shut down the Project Veritas account, this is a very clever and effective way of getting around that ban and provide great advertising for the release. However, it was definitely a risk for the reporter. That took a lot of courage. I predicted that the announcement was likely to cost her her job but it really didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that they would try to drop a hammer on her.

The hammer dropped today when they called her and told her she was suspended until further notice, that she should not show up to the building. She recorded it for Project Veritas.

“I wanted to call and let you know you are suspended, effective immediately, pending further review,” the assistant news director, Lee Meier told her.

She believes that she was terminated in a subsequent call, during which another employee says she has to turn in her equipment.

Fox 26 has not confirmed whether or not she was terminated.

But that’s not stopping the Project Veritas report and we’ll have more on that coming shortly. Let’s hope it was worth the sacrifice here.
