We’re seeing a lot of things blow up under Joe Biden.
As I reported earlier, President Donald Trump said it was unfair to compare Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter. Unfair to Carter.
That indeed, Biden was worse because he’s created a lot of the issues that are now exploding.
“I see that everybody is comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter,” Trump noted. “It would seem to me that is very unfair to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy mishandled crisis after crisis, but Biden has CREATED crisis after crisis.”
“First there was the Biden Border Crisis (that he refuses to call a Crisis), then the Biden Economic Crisis, then the Biden Israel Crisis, and now the Biden Gas Crisis,” Trump noted. “Joe Biden has had the worst start of any president in United States history, and someday, they will compare future disasters to the Biden Administration—but no, Jimmy was better!”
Biden precipitated the border crisis by cutting the deals that Trump had in place, stopping the wall he was building, and indicating to people that they would be more welcome if they came. Trump cut aid to the Palestinians and showed strength, Biden reinstated it and flooded them with money that they could use for operations against Israel. Biden had a hand in the surging unemployment number by both extending unemployment benefits and not opening schools, encouraging people to stay home if they could make as much money by not working and by not allowing some parents to go to work because they have to be watching their kids who weren’t in school.
Then there’s the current problem with the gas shortages and gas prices, part of which is due to the Colonial Pipeline cyber attack. Biden isn’t responsible for the hack, although he is responsible for not simply putting forth a bill that’s purely infrastructure and not full of Democratic agenda items. He is responsible for cutting the Keystone XL Pipeline and he is responsible for attacking the energy industry.
North Carolina update:
78% of Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville/Anderson stns no gasoline
72% of Raleigh/Durham stns no gasoline
71% of Charlotte stns no gasoline
69% of Greenville/New Bern/Washington stns no gasoline
65% of Norfolk/Portsmouth/Newport stns no gasoline— Patrick De Haan ⛽️📊 (@GasBuddyGuy) May 12, 2021
As we reported, gas prices were climbing before the cyber attack on the pipeline. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm tried to blame it on the virus. But the virus has been around for more than a year. So why didn’t the prices rise until now, under Biden? Under Trump, we were basically close to energy independence. Under Biden, we’re strangling the supply and cutting off our options.
Consumer prices are going up too, surging up 4.2%, the fastest spike since 2008. Hello, inflation.
It’s really looking like a retread of the 1970s.
So what exactly is Biden doing about it to resolve any of the questions?
Don’t worry, they’re getting around to it. They’re starting to consider things.
We are monitoring supply shortages and evaluating every action we can take. This includes starting the work needed to consider a temporary waiver of the Jones Act. More from @USDOT: https://t.co/j4qfZDL8nc

BREAKING: the Biden admin has announced an exploratory committee to pick members of a Blue Ribbon commission that will develop Jones Act proposals that congress may consider to direct the Department of Transportation to address the urgent gasoline supply shortage.

Oh, and Grandpa Disaster is hard at all that considering. He called a lid yesterday at 3:34. It was a tough day. He needed his milk of magnesia.
