The CDC is still recommending that people who are vaccinated indoors should wear a mask.

Many states have lifted their mask mandates, but some businesses are still employing them.

Now, the pandemic restrictions seem to have completely driven some folks around the bend. They seem to have forgotten how to deal with other people in a civil manner and to have designated themselves as the “mask police” if they see folks going around without masks.

Our friends at Twitchy found this example of a guy who completely lost it on a woman because she wasn’t wearing a mask. The woman said that she was pregnant.

“Your insensitivity is ridiculous,” the man rebuked her. “I no longer have grandparents due to this virus because of people like you,” he said, blaming her. She seems to be trying to tell him she’s sorry he’s lost his grandparents, but you can tell he isn’t even hearing that, just talking right over her. “It’s ridiculous, actually. It’s insensitive and it’s disgusting as a human being,” the man berated her. “For you to show so much privilege,” he spits out. “There are so many older people in here.”

The woman tells him that she’s pregnant and she tries to say something else to him but, again, he’s not interested. “Whoop dee do,” he replied. “Congratulations on your pregnancy,” he said sarcastically. “It’s ridiculous and I want you to know that. You’re on Candid Camera.”

Imagine this guy thinking this is good behavior and that he’s the hero of this story. He doesn’t know her health situation, doesn’t know if she’s vaccinated and he isn’t put off by her saying that she’s pregnant. Congratulations for yelling at a pregnant woman. She dealt with it well under the circumstances given the craziness of the assault. But if he thinks she’s somehow dangerous, why is he berating her and getting all up in her face?

Pro tip? This is not mature or proper behavior when dealing with other people, this is harassment. If the store had a mask policy they would have enforced it themselves, they don’t need their customers flipping out on each other to act in their stead.
