The Biden regime has been trying to spin all kinds of reasons for the border crisis that they’ve repeatedly denied. But now Kamala Harris has come up with a new reason for the surge at the border and it’s a hilarious excuse.
A couple of days ago, Jen Psaki tried to blame the Trump Administration for the surge, as my colleague Sister Toldjah reported.
“I wanted to provide a brief update on the situation at our Southern border. After four years of an immigration system rooted in destructive and chaotic policies, President Biden is taking the challenge head-on and is building a fair, orderly, and humane immigration system. That’s our objective. After coming into office, our administration immediately jumped into action to address the influx of migrants at the border, something that began during and was exacerbated by the Trump administration…”
Now, of course, that was nonsense, since the border was in check until Biden started undoing the things the Trump administration had put in place, like stopping the Remain in Mexico policy and stopping the construction on the wall.
Moreover, the numbers under Biden show an incredible surge — the highest in years.
NEW: CBP has published March numbers showing 172,331 taken into custody, the most in nearly two decades.

Migrants stated they were coming in because of the words of Biden. Even the Mexican president laid it on Biden because of his statements.
But Kamala Harris’ new excuse is a hoot. She hasn’t even made it to the border yet, mind you. Yet, she’s going to try to sell us on the why for the surge. Harris said there were “acute causes” such as “food insecurity,” as well as “root causes” such as “the lack of climate adaptation and climate resilience.”

So ignore why migrants are actually saying they’re coming. Let’s concentrate on things that have existed for years, and throw in climate stuff because that serves the narrative.
But what does this all mean? It means they still don’t understand what’s going on, aren’t addressing it properly, and are going to throw a boatload of money at the “root causes.” According to Townhall, Harris announced that $310 million in U.S. taxpayer dollars would go to Central America as part of a $4 billion regional strategy to deal with the issues. Who knows how that will be spent by the systems in place in those countries that Harris herself calls “corrupt”?
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) finished off Harris’ ridiculous excuse with one word.
Nope. https://t.co/RLJJRACHvC

Then others piled on with a little more truth.
The root cause of the crisis is your open border policy, @kamalaharris.https://t.co/p3pKPNAp4Y

The “root cause” of the surge is the election of a President who ran on limiting border security, halting deportations, and quickly changing the law to allow more people to stay.
The weather had very little to do with it. https://t.co/2B3gzefnRX

It’s funny how climate change showed up right as there was a relaxation of border control policies https://t.co/eu7PkCG1ZI

Border Czar Harris blames “the lack of climate adaptation and climate resilience” for the border crisis.
Absolutely, absurd.

Let’s not forget Joe Biden’s own words.
