Marjorie Taylor Greene Rakes in Huge Amount in Contributions, Far More Than AOC Over Same Period

There’s no question that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has gotten an unusual amount of attention since she first came into office in 2018. She’s been the socialist belle of the ball for those on the progressive left. She’s also clearly pointing for higher office at some point (God help us all).

But despite all that fervor over AOC, she apparently doesn’t even come close to the initial contributions that newly elected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) has raised in just her first quarter in office.

According to the Daily Mail, Greene has pulled down an incredible $3.2 million in the first quarter of 2021. The money is allegedly pretty much small donations, with over 100,000 individual contributions from all 50 states.

‘Over 100,000 donors poured in over $3,200,000 to support me, averaging $32 per donation. You know why? I stood my ground and never wavered in my belief in America First policies and putting People Over Politicians!’ Greene boasted on Twitter.

‘And I will NEVER backdown! As a matter of fact, I’m just getting started.’

By comparison, AOC only raised $728,000 in her first quarter in office in 2019. She also recently got smacked down in a survey by a non-partisan group who found her one of the least effective members of Congress.

It’s likely that the attention that the left has focused on Greene raised her profile more than it hurt her and helped build her contributions. It also likely says something about where people’s heads are at and it wouldn’t appear to be with those on the left.

Greene used the attacks on her in fundraising appeals and it appears to have paid off.

‘The political ruling class fears the people because it’s the people that can take away what they love most. Power. Because it’s power that brings them everything else.

‘I am one of the people and the people are with me, and I will always be with them.’
