Poll: Americans Are Asked About Biden's Fitness for Office, The Answer Is Not Good for Him

Democrats and many in mainstream media have done what they could to paint Joe Biden in as positive a manner as they can.

But there’s only so much they can do to paper over the problems that Americans can see frequently on their screens. People have eyes and brains, and they can see what’s going on with Biden and there’s only so much that they can spin it all.

This week it’s been particularly bad as we reported where he completely lost his train of thought when talking about the virus. Then there was also when he forgot the name of his Secretary of Defense, his position and the name of the Pentagon. Then his handlers tried to rush him away on another occasion and they cut his feed when friendly Democrats were going to ask him questions. That’s just in one week. Add to that he’s avoided doing an address to the joint session of Congress or doing a solo press conference.

Americans’ concerns are starting to show in the polls now.

According to the Washington Examiner, the latest Rasmussen survey of likely voters reveals that 50% aren’t confident that “Joe Biden is physically and mentally up to the Jobe of president of the United States.” 48% had confidence (likely a party split to some degree) but only 34% were “very confident,” revealing that likely even with Democrats there’s at least a little concern.

52% were concerned that he hasn’t yet held a press conference and 76% of those people were very concerned.

His supporters can’t believe he hasn’t yet given his speech to Congress to outline his agenda.

As we previously reported, this is likely having an impact on his approval ratings as well which have dropped.

According to the Washington Examiner, Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA), a former Navy pilot elected in the 25th District north of Los Angeles, told Larry O’Connor on his podcast that he’s been very worried about Biden.

“This, to me, in my opinion, and I mean this as gracefully and tactfully as I can, I think we are seeing nationally one of the most grievous examples of elderly abuse in our nation,” Garcia told O’Connor, who pulled the interview from his daily talk show on Washington’s WMAL.

“This president is not fit for office. I don’t really believe he understands what he’s doing, and he’s got a political machine behind him that’s propping him up, and it scares the hell out of people like me who value our national security,” he added. [….]

“We’re being led right now by an individual who doesn’t know the name of his own staff members in public. And look, we all make mistakes, so once in a while, we all have gaffes, public speaking gaffes. This is well beyond this, and frankly, it’s sad to watch. It’s dangerous, in my opinion, to our nation, and we do deserve better.”

O’Connor said this was more troubling because Garcia wasn’t a “flamethrower” so if he’s concerned, what must others be saying behind the scenes?

Biden is scheduled to deliver a prime time address tomorrow and he may take questions after it. This apparently is their effort to try to address the concerns but it seems unlikely that will quell concerns.
