President Donald Trump has been going all-in in the last weeks before the election, campaigning everywhere. On Saturday, he literally was in three battleground states campaigning, all in one day.

Not so for Joe Biden. Not only did the Biden team not reach out to people on the ground for months, but Joe Biden hid in his basement. Then when he finally started getting out there, he frequently called a “lid” early in the day. Calling a lid means the campaign is done with official activities or any media activities for the day.

More recently, they’ve only been reaching out to people in person on the ground for about the last week or so.

Now that the allegations about him and his son have burgeoned into a full-blown scandal, suddenly not only is Biden calling a lid for the day early in the morning, Biden is now saying today to not expect to hear from him for most of the rest of the week until the debate on October 22, using the excuse that he’s “debate prepping.”

CBS Political Correspondent Ed O’Keefe explained that Biden wouldn’t be seen for days, according to Townhall.

“This week is mostly about debate prep. He will not be seen again after today until Thursday night in Nashville at that next debate. So they’re going to keep him focused on that. That’s a signal that they believe this is still a very big opportunity for them to provide one last contrast with the president and they have to prepare him for potential attacks from the president,” he explained.

No one thinks Biden’s going into hiding for “debate prep.” Biden has actually had a really easy time of it, with the moderators seemingly biased in his favor and against the president.

This next moderator may be the worst yet. As we reported, Kristen Welker has deep Democratic ties. When she was announced as the moderator, she immediately deactivated her Twitter account because it was littered with anti-Trump posts. Welker even was caught on a hot mic telling a Clinton operative what question she was about to ask her on-air (without realizing people could hear her say that).

The former vice president still has not personally addressed the issue or denied the charges. A CBS reporter asked him Friday about the allegations and Biden refused to answer and accused the reporter of trying to smear him.

Everyone thinks he’s going into hiding to avoid questions on the scandal. He’s literally going to hide out and hope to scoot through down the final stretch without responding on the issue and hope he gets in.

Joe Biden called a lid hours ago and held NO public events today.
