Enough of Dem Lies About the Virus: We Would Have Been Far Worse off If Biden Had Been in Charge

Democrats are doing their best to spin the claim that President Donald Trump somehow did not respond appropriately to the virus because he said to Bob Woodward that he was trying to not panic people.

But, as Dr. Anthony Fauci said, Trump never distorted the facts and there were no discrepancies between what they were telling him in private and what Trump was saying to Americans in public. So it was just a dumb non-story, being dropped to try to influence the election.

But meanwhile, Joe Biden is lying and miscasting his own response to the virus, claiming that he knew how serious it was in January because he wrote an op-ed about it, while Trump was actually addressing it.

In January, Trump activated the CDC, declared the virus a public health emergency, formed the task force, and cut travel with China.

What was Joe Biden’s response?

On Jan. 27, Biden’s “coronavirus adviser” Ron Klain took the side of China, praising China’s ‘transparency’ and on January 28, he said banning Chinese travelers was “premature.”

Biden himself called the Trump response after he cut travel with China, “hysterical xenophobia.”

What were Biden and the Democrats saying in February? Saying there wasn’t an epidemic and acting as though cutting travel with China and having concern about the virus was racist.

Biden Public Health Advisory Committee member Dr. Zeke Emanuel said, “Healthy young people do not seem to be at very high risk; if they get it, they typically get a mild case… In that regard it sort of behaves like the flu. A lot of us get the flu, but serious cases that cause mortality tend to be focused on the elderly and those with other chronic diseases.” He went on, “But, at the moment, most people are thinking that there may be a bit of an overreaction by many, maybe even our own country. If you look at the numbers dispassionately, there are just over 1,000 cases outside of China. Half of them are on that cruise ship in Japan. So, considering the world’s population of more than 7 billion people, that’s not a lot.”

Remember Nancy Pelosi encouraging people to go out in crowds?

On February 27, Ron Klain said, “Here’s one more thing everyone should do. They should, tonight, go down to Chinatown in their city and buy dinner or go shopping there. What we see inevitably, what we’re seeing already, is … people staying away out of needless fears about coronavirus.”

In March, Democrats were still telling people that there was nothing to be concerned about the virus.

Bill de Blasio was actually encouraging people to go on the subway and refusing to shut down the schools into March.

Biden himself was still holding rallies and events, including this infamous one at a Michigan auto plant on March 10 during which he threatened an autoworker. Notice no social distancing, masks, or anything.

I thought he knew everything in January? So what’s his explanation here for endangering everyone?

Trump cut travel with Europe on March 12. The Biden reaction to that?

Biden Public Health Advisory Committee member Lisa Monaco said “no” when asked if President Trump’s 30-day ban on travel from Europe was the right move. Biden himself tweeted, “A wall will not stop the coronavirus. Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it.”

On March 18, Biden again tweeted about Trump’s decision to cut travel with China, saying to Trump, “Stop the xenophobic fear-mongering.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci said that deciding to cut the travel from both China and Europe saved countless lives. But Biden didn’t agree that was the right decision until his staff said so on April 2.

Imagine how much worse it would have been if the travel hadn’t been cut until April? It would have been a horror show and all because of Democrats pushing the racist trope and/or not wanting to antagonize China. That’s how important it was not to have them in power.

That’s not even counting all the other things that Trump did right that Biden likely wouldn’t have done or not done until too late. Once it was clear that the CDC couldn’t deal with the level of testing needed and places didn’t have the necessary PPEs, it was Trump partnering with private industry that got that done.

It would have been so much worse had Biden been in charge. Indeed, it is one of the many reasons to vote for Trump again, because we should never put Biden and the Democrats in charge.
