CNN is working so hard to spin this whole insane armed Autonomous Zone social experiment as just a peaceful “block party” in the words Mayor Durkan used with Chris Cuomo. When Cuomo asked her what she intended to do about clearing the area, her response literally was “I don’t know, we could have a summer of love.”

But as CNN ventured into the zone to do a live shot and tried to pitch their narrative, things didn’t quite work out as they expected.

Have to say this is one of the funnier things I’ve seen on CNN.

The reporter is doing his best to paint it as a bucolic scene, food being handed out, live music at night. “On the one hand, it began with force,” he says. “But now it’s peaceful,” he said, standing in front of the East Precinct that they clearly have damaged and tagged with obscenities against the police and pro-BLM.

As he talks to Cooper and says people can move freely, he’s interrupted by an angry anarchist who has to be stopped from getting to the reporter by what appears to be their security crew. As the reporter tries to continue to talk to Cooper and maintain normality, you can see him moving away in fear from the anarchist and Cooper trying not to react to a clear danger.

Then the reporter also admitted that there were folks there who were “no doubt armed,” contradicting CNN’s report that suggesting they weren’t armed.

But in fact, the tweet is deceptive. It says city officials haven’t interacted with armed people, it doesn’t say they don’t exist but that’s what it implies.

Some are obviously armed as we have previously reported, you can see it in the pictures and video, those are some of the folks at the barricades or acting as de facto “police,” which is ironic given their stance against police.

By the way, poor social hygiene by the reporter, constantly touching his face — he needs a tutorial from Fredo Cuomo.
