A woman from upstate New York, Samantha Shader, 27, was arrested on Friday night for throwing a lit Molotov cocktail at a police van during riots in Brooklyn over the death of George Floyd.

Four officers were inside the van when she set it ablaze with the cocktail, but they managed to escape before it was consumed by flame.

“It is by the grace of God that we don’t have dead officers today,” NYPD Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said Saturday.

Her younger sister Darian, 21, is facing resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration charges.

The siblings, from Catskill, in Greene County, tried to run away afterward but were caught nearby.

The elder Shader was charged with attempted murder, attempted arson, weapons possession and reckless endangerment before the feds took over the case, cops said. She was one of three protesters who will be charged federally, law enforcement sources said.

The younger sister alleged tried to interfere in the arrest of the older sister. Samantha Shader allegedly bit one of the cops in the leg when he tried to arrest her.

They live more than two hours away from Brooklyn.

In all, police said over 200 rioters were arrested during the riot, with many police officers injured including one who had his teeth knocked out.

The police commissioner Dermot Shea said he believed a lot of people came from out of town to cause trouble.

“Four cops could’ve been killed last night when Molotov cocktails were thrown into a police car they were in. Other officers were seriously injured by bricks thrown — and a gun was recovered. These individuals are not protestors,” NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan tweeted Saturday. “THEY ARE CRIMINALS who’ll be arrested & prosecuted.”

The women should not be allowed to “hide” under the label of protester, insisted PBA President Patrick Lynch.

“They are terrorists who tried to murder NYC police officers,” he said. “Every leader in this city should be speaking up to condemn these attacks and working with us to prevent more violence. Sadly, they are either silent or working against us.”

Samantha Shader has a GoFundMe which isn’t doing so well, it has garnered about $80 and she’s had a couple of leftists on social media plead her case.
