Democrats are desperately trying to dismiss Tara Reade’s allegations to clear the way for their presumptive nominee, Joe Biden.
But it isn’t as easy as they thought it was going to be. Not only does Reade have multiple contemporaneous corroborations from folks saying that she told them about the sexual harassment and/or the sexual assault, she just did an interview with Megyn Kelly in which she called on Joe Biden to drop out and said she was willing to go under oath to make her point.
Democrats have ripped off their #MeToo masks and tap-danced all over any standards they ever professed to have about listening to women.
Indeed, some, like Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) aren’t even pretending with the facade anymore. She completely dispensed with all that “we must hear women” thing and just attacked Reade.
Feinstein called the claims against Biden “ridiculous” and said outright that she did not believe her. When asked about her treatment of Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, she said that was totally “different.”
From Daily Caller:
Feinstein said that “Kavanaugh was under the harshest inspection that we give people over a substantial period of time.” […]
Feinstein questioned why Reade waited so long to bring forward her allegations.
“And I don’t know this person at all who has made the allegations. She came out of nowhere. Where has she been all these years? He was Vice President,” Feinstein said. To “attack him in this way to me is absolutely ridiculous.”
“No, I do not,” she said when asked if she believes Reade, according to the Hill.
The Hill also reported that Feinstein said she has “a great respect for his integrity, for his fidelity to his family his friends.”
“And so these accusations are very disturbing because they do have an impact on an individual, and every indication I would have is that they would be false until I was shown otherwise,” she added.
“Why didn’t she say something — you know when he was Chairman of the Judiciary Committee or after that?” Feinstein rejected the notion of a Dem double standard and argued the situation isn’t “comparable” to Kavanaugh

Yet, she didn’t question the word of Christine Blasey-Ford and where she had been all those years that Kavanaugh was in government or being appointed to the federal bench. She didn’t question Ford, indeed she said she believed Ford, “every single piece of information from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford eminently credible, sincere and believable,” despite Ford having absolutely no supporting evidence for her story, her story continuously changing and her “witnesses” saying that they have no recollection of there ever being such a party as she claimed.
Feinstein has still failed to justify why she sat on Ford’s complaint and then dropped it at the most opportune political time, likely thinking that President Donald Trump would just fold and pull Kavanaugh. But he did not, a sign of true political courage and belief in the wrong that the Democrats were perpetrating.
That wasn’t the only Democrat whose opinion CNN’s Manu Raju managed to bag. He also got Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) one of the people believed to be under consideration as a vice-presidential running mate by Joe Biden.
While she was somewhat more politic in her answer than Feinstein (well, really, any other response would be), it was still a game-playing answer. ‘Well, let me recognize her right to come forward, while I completely ignore what she says,’ basically, changing “believe women” into “believe women have the right to come forward, but if the politician is a Democrat, oh, well.”
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a potential VP pick, asked if she believed Reade’s allegations or if she believes Biden: “He’s been forthright. He’s answered the questions respectfully and I’m proud to support him.”

Asked again if she believes Reade: “I think he’s answered all the questions and he’s made clear that he supports her right to come forward.” Asked about criticism that Democrats have a double-standard on the topic, Klobuchar didn’t answer and walked into an awaiting car.
