Joe Biden appeared on Morning Joe with Mika Brzezinski.
It was some interview as we reported earlier here and here.
But I wanted to point to his statement about the University of Delaware records which I reported about yesterday.
From Redstate:
The records cover the period from 1973 to 2009. They were given to the University in 2011 and the agreement at the time said they would be sealed “for two years after he retires from public office.” But then, the day before Biden launched his campaign, it was changed to the later of either December 31, 2019, or when Biden “retires from public life” without defining what that meant. Tippett is now saying “two years” from that point, extending it still further.
Mika actually asks him a good question he never answers. Mika asks why was the date changed? Biden never actually answers the question.
Full exchange on Biden saying he won't release his Senate records at the Univ. of Delaware —
"The idea that they would be made public while I was running for public office, they could be taken out of context … they could be fodder." pic.twitter.com/tUOGBBttOd

She then pursues why wouldn’t he unseal the records or allow a search for her name in the records.
His answer is hilarious, as my colleague Bonchie reported: because it could be “used for fodder.”
Um, yeah, so now that makes us more inclined to want to know what’s in there.
I mean if Joe Biden doesn't want his UDel records opened because stuff in there "could be used as fodder," I wonder what else is in there besides a possible sexual harrassment complaint 🧐

He even mentions a conversation with Vladimir Putin that he’s concerned about. Why? Why shouldn’t anything that isn’t classified be released or media given access to it?
This was the same guy who said there should be an FBI investigation into Kavanaugh, that a woman should be believed.
Biden, Sept. 17, 2018, on Blasey Ford: “You’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not it’s been made worse or better over time.” https://t.co/3ZUNjbAJoI pic.twitter.com/xhgKbIqsqw

He claims that he never asked anyone to sign an NDA agreement. “I never asked anybody to sign an NDA. There are no NDAs, period, in my case.”
Reade says that she reported harassment to multiple staffers including Ted Kaufman who is now forming the Biden “transition team.” She claims he took notes of the complaint. That’s what may be in the records. Biden is claiming there aren’t personal records in the collection. There are also all the other claims of inappropriate touching. It’s pretty hard to believe that no one ever complained.
So why not release the records? Why not allow a search of them as Mika asked?
Why were his operatives sent to search the records after he announced his run for the presidency? What were they looking for and did they remove anything? Why not release the agreement with the University of Delaware and the sign in sheet of the people who visited the records?
Here’s how Biden attacked Mike Bloomberg over releasing records in February. Joe Biden, meet Joe Biden.
Let me be clear: Mayor Bloomberg should release folks from their non-disclosure agreements. This is about transparency. The American people deserve to know the truth. pic.twitter.com/IdRmpGpumm

So Joe, why don’t you do what Joe demanded?
