Watch: Dems Have Even Lost CNN on Impeachment

When Democrats have even lost CNN, you may have a problem with your case for impeachment.

Democrats have been pushing the narrative that President Donald Trump was tying investigations into the Bidens to giving Ukraine aid.

Except, as we reported yesterday, the Democrats two witnesses who testified on Wednesday basically were just talking about hearsay and their opinions, as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) expertly showed during questioning.

“We got six people having four conversations in one sentence, and you just told me this is where you got your clear understanding,” Jordan said to witness Bill Taylor. “And you’re their star witness.”

Taylor: My understanding is only coming from people that I talked to.”

One might expect Republicans to notice the intrinsic problems with the Democrats’ case.

But when even CNN is calling out the problem, then you know the Democrats’ effort is in trouble.

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin pointed out that none of the witnesses had actually had “direct contact” with Trump. Not only no direct contact on the subject, but, as Jake Tapper chimed in, ever.

That’s a small problem when you’re trying to impeach the president based on something he supposed said or did and none of your “witnesses” actually “witnessed” anything but are just repeating telephone tag hearsay or their own opinion.
