Muslim scholars visiting the Vatican Apostolic Library are now being offered dedicated prayer spaces, according to the library’s Vice Prefect, Fr. Giacomo Cardinali. In an interview with La Repubblica, Cardinali confirmed that Muslim academics had asked for “a room with a carpet for praying,” and the Vatican obliged.
I know; try to control your shock and amazement.
Before we continue, have you ever seen or heard of a Christian prayer room in Mecca? Me, neither. Know why? Because not only are there zero Christian prayer rooms in Mecca, but there are also zero Christian prayer rooms in mosques.
On the contrary, across much of the Muslim world, Christians face open persecution — and worse.
Did I mention that the Vatican continues to lead the call for ever-more Muslim migration into Europe (read: the Islamization of Europe) —first started under Pope Francis and now under Pope Leo, with the same unwavering enthusiasm?
That's messed up — from a hypocrisy perspective, that is, given there will likely never be a Christian prayer room in an Islamic anything.
Here's more, via The Catholic Herald:
Fr Giacomo Cardinali, Vice Prefect, said in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that Muslim academics had requested a small area in which to pray, and the library had agreed. “Some Muslim scholars have asked us for a room with a carpet for praying and we have given it to them,” he said.
The Vatican Library, founded in the mid-15th century and often regarded as the intellectual heart of the Catholic Church, houses a vast array of manuscripts and texts from across the world’s religions and cultures.
The Vatican Apostolic Library, located within Vatican City, traces its origins to Pope Nicholas V in 1451 and has since served as one of the world’s leading repositories of Christian and human knowledge. Its willingness to accommodate visiting scholars of all faiths reflects the institution’s continuing role as a centre of universal learning and cultural preservation.
So here's the thing: This doesn't ruffle my feathers — and I suspect, those of others — from a theological perspective. On the contrary, the relationship between Christianity and Judaism continues to be a model for the world on how diverse religions can interact with respect for one another — as opposed to the treatment of Christians and Jews in much of the Arab world.
No, this is more about the self-proclaimed "religion of peace" and how it would never reciprocate with Christian prayer rooms. OK, my Democrat friends, time to call me a "bigot," "Christian National," or some other ridiculous descriptor.

As Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, put it:
In an upcoming article, I write that, “even as Muslim boats carrying military age male migrants were penetrating European coastlines, Pope Leo warned that “those boats… cannot and must not find the coldness of indifference or the stigma of discrimination!” All were called on to “work in the service of migrants” without “stereotypes and prejudices.”
This is what civilizational suicide looks like.
Amen, not unlike what we continue to see as the Islamization of Europe continues. But, hey — what could possibly go wrong?
