Thanks in large part to President Donald Trump and his administration, a growing number of Americans are continuing to kick the absurdity of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) to the curb — much to the chagrin of the leftists who thrive on the beyond-hypocritical initiative.
While the federal government, various corporations, and a number of universities have dismantled their DEI programs, we continue to see evidence of such indoctrination in public school systems.
Once such example was on full display in Wisconsin on Monday when the Sun Prairie Area School District Board of Education kicked off its meeting with members taking turns reading aloud a ridiculous "equity statement."
Recited after "The Pledge of Allegiance," the "equity statement" publicly commits the board to absurd — yet smug —actions, such as “dismantling racism, bigotry, and ethnic oppression.” The statement affirms the board’s dedication to ensuring fair and inclusive treatment for all students and community members.
Uh-huh.
Just like we've seen "fair and inclusive treatment" of Jewish students during prop-Hamas, antisemitic protests (riots), "fair and inclusive treatment" of American citizens faced with anti-ICE protests in support of illegal aliens, and "fair and inclusive treatment" of female athletes in female sporting events who are dominated by males pretending to be females.
The equity statement includes:
Commitment to Dismantling Discrimination: The board declares opposition to racism and ethnic bias, underlining the importance of addressing structural and interpersonal inequities.
Focus on "Inclusion": The statement emphasizes promoting diversity and equity, ensuring every student, regardless of background, is supported in reaching their highest potential.
Accountability and Transparency: By making this proclamation at every meeting, the board signals its intent to keep equity central to its policies and discussions, inviting public reflection and scrutiny.
Not to nitpick, but a coupla questions:
When the left declares opposition to racism, as anyone with a modicum of awareness knows, the declaration is a one-way street, meaning oppression of people of color by white people. Yet how many times have we seen the reverse? Racism committed against white people by people of color?
And, no, the latter is not "reverse racism" or "reverse discrimination." Racism is racism and discrimination is discrimination — regardless of the melanin content of the skin of those involved on either side.

Without further ado, here are the board members of the Sun Prairie Area School District Board of Education as they read their silly, yet potentially harmful, equity statements:
First member: The mission of the Sun Prairie School District is to inspire, and today, by providing relevant, engaging, and innovative learning experiences in and out of the classroom.
Second member: The Sun Prairie School District celebrates and values our diverse community. We support and are inclusive of all students, staff, families, and community members of all races, ethnicities, faiths, national origins, home languages, socioeconomic status, immigration status, political viewpoints, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Stop the tape.
While the second member's list was thorough, if you believe Democrats value every one of the characterizations and identities — equally, no less — that she ran through, you haven't been paying objective attention to the left's hyper-hypocritical treatment of some over others.
Third member: In order to realize our mission, we are committed to changing the foundational inequities that we acknowledge exist in our system. And we unequivocally stand by our black and brown students, staff, and families. We will continue to speak and act swiftly against statements of bigotry, social injustice, discrimination, racism, and hate that plague members of our community. We are committed to developing and implementing strategies and best practices that dismantle racism, bigotry, and ethnic oppression within all aspects of our schools and school districts.
How can I put this delicately? These people sound like robots — programmed to say what they're supposed to without so much as a bit of passion or conviction.
Moreover, while they robotically declare to support this and that, what they actually do is emphasize differences — rather than attempt to minimize or eliminate them.
Do they do in a continuing attempt to create victims or remind "victims" that they're victims? Meaning, do they beat to death the faux scare tactic notion that racism, bigotry, and ethnic oppression are lurking around every corner, waiting to pounce on people of color? Of course they do.
On they went:
Fourth member: We stand by our immigrant students, staff, and families. All are welcome and safe in our schools regardless of immigration status.
Fifth member: We stand by our students, staff, and families with disabilities. We will continue to staunchly protect the rights of people of all abilities, and create educational environments in which all educators collaborate for high educational outcomes for all students.
Sixth member: We stand by our LGBTQIA-plus students and staff and families. we take seriously our responsibility to provide safe, non-discriminatory, and inclusive environments for people of all orientations and identities as they reflect our diverse community.
Seventh member: We stand by students, staff, and families of lower socioeconomic status. We will do all we can to meet their nutritional, physical, and emotional needs of all students, regardless of their economic status. All children will be safe and loved in our schools. Every child, every day.
Whew, right? As I transcribed the repetitive quotes, I found myself wondering who they were actually for. The students? The community? Themselves? Regardless of why the ridiculous robotic exercise was presented, two words sum up the whole production, perfectly: virtue signaling.
The Bottom Line
The most telling part of that bizarre exercise was that nary a word was mentioned about the principal — if not only — objective of education: to educate, which is precisely why public education continues to fail America's kids.
