In this episode of "The Sniveling Nonsense of Adam Schiff"...
In the unlikely event that California Democrat Senator Adam Schiff has ever missed an opportunity to make a fool out of himself, I'm not aware of it.
From continually promising (lying) to reveal smoking-gun evidence that Hunter Biden's infamous laptop was a Russian plot — which he never produced — to outrageous unfounded charges about the Jan. 6 Capitol "insurrection," to now beclowning himself as President Donald Trump's deportation of illegal aliens gets underway, the ever-smug Schiff is all over it.
Schiff whined on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that deporting illegals who steal is “terrible overreach.”
Host Kristen Welker kicked off the hopelessly-biased festivities:
Let’s talk about President Trump’s agenda now, particularly on immigration and the border. Congress, of course, passed a bill to address the border. Some of your Democratic colleagues from border states actually signed on. This is the Laken Riley Act, a bill, just so folks understand, that would effectively allow law enforcement to detain and deport those who have been convicted of theft-related crimes.
Notice how Welker slid in the part about theft-related crimes, in an effort to deflect from the horrific murder of Laken Riley? The 22-year-old nursing student was murdered while she was jogging at the University of Georgia.
José Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien, was convicted of felony murder, malice murder, false imprisonment, aggravated assault with attempt to rape, and other charges in November 2024. Ibarra was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
Welker continued:
In a statement explaining his vote, your colleague, Arizona’s Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego, said this, ‘We must give law enforcement the means to take action when illegal immigrants break the law to prevent situations like what occurred to Laken Riley,’ who was, of course, killed by someone who was undocumented. You voted 'no' on that. How do you respond to Senator Gallego?
"Someone who was undocumented." The left's manipulation and careful choice of words never fails to disappoint.
Schiff promptly took the discussion to a ridiculous level.
Look, the administration already has the authority to detain people that have committed violent crimes for deportation, and they should, but this bill is so broad that if you are a Dreamer and you take a tube of toothpaste from the store, you can be detained for deportation. That, to me, is a terrible overreach.
So the president already has the authority. I don’t mind confirming he has the authority, but I don’t want to broaden that to be able to deport Dreamers for taking a tube of toothpaste.
Unconscionable.
Deporting illegal aliens because they're in the country illegally is not "overreach." On the contrary, it's a critical job of the executive branch of the federal government, led by the president of the United States, to enforce federal law, including immigration laws.
But we're talking about Adam Schiff, here, whose eagerness to reach a new low has long been known.
