Unintentional stand-up comic Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is at it again, gang.
As out-of-control wildfires continue to rage across Los Angeles County, leaving death and destruction in their wake, Waters has predictably done what she does best: play politics by blaming "the richest one percent" for the devastation. The veteran left-wing Democrat's nonsense would be comical if it wasn't so disgusting.
On Friday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) told host Chris Cuomo that she didn't want to get into politics (translation: she exactly wanted to get into politics) about the wildfires before promptly getting into politics.
Waters hilariously began:
I’m not into the blame game. I’m not into talking about whether or not Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is trying to protect himself and run for president, none of that.
The first thing we’ve got to understand is, services cost money and we should be willing to get the richest people in this country, the richest one percent that is protected, make sure they pay their fair taxes so that we can have the money to provide the services.
Annnd there it is.
The "rich need to pay their fair share," made infamous by Barack Obama throughout his intentionally divisive presidency — and the Democrat Party has continued to beat that dishonest drum ever since.
Waters continued:
With that money and with those resources, the people who have been selected or elected to do the job should do the job. I don’t care who it is. It could be Democrat, it could be Republican, it could be whatever. But the fact of the matter is, we all should have heavy hearts right now, but we should have faith and we should be on point by making sure that we do everything to help the people that need us.
Please, Maxine.
The California 2024-25 State Budget spends $297.9 billion in total state funds, consisting of approximately $211.5 billion from the General Fund, $84 billion from special funds, and $2.4 billion from bond funds. How about California Democrat leaders spend some of that money on wildfire prevention and fighting instead of on taking care of the state's ever-increasing number of illegal aliens and untold numbers of homeless people?
Waters melodramatically added:
Dammit, you can do the politics later. You can come and talk about Gavin Newsom later. You can talk about the Democrats later.
Uh-huh. Yet Maxine "did politics" — Maxine always does politics — by yet again blaming "the rich" instead of California's insane "climate change" projects, including the lack of controlled burns, sufficient supplies of available water for firefighting, and working fire hydrants.

Waters also played to "the working people," which is always part of the Democrats' "fair share" schtick.
Altadena has working people, people who may not have enough money by which to go and rent a hotel, maybe for, you know, months to come. I would like to ask you and any other media individuals that may be listening to do everything that you can to get attention on Altadena.
Not everybody’s rich, and we have people who don’t know where they’re going, people who are in temporary situations that need some help and finding a place to live. We have people who need food, we have people who need healthcare, all of that, and so that’s what I’m concentrated on.
Speaking of the "rich," Waters and her husband Sidney Williams have an estimated $10 Million net worth, including $7 million in real estate assets.
Moreover, the hypocritical congresswoman lives in Windsor Square, a small, historic neighborhood in the Wilshire region of Los Angeles, rather than CA-43, the less-impressive district she represents.
Shocked? Me, neither.
