Eric Adams Tries to Block Busloads of Ilegal Aliens From Entering NYC — No Problem; They Implement Plan B

Poor New York City Mayor Eric Adams. He had a plan to stop busloads of illegal aliens from entering his city. Adams recently issued an executive order to restrict those busloads. No problem; bus drivers are now dropping the illegals off in New Jersey — from where they're taking trains into the city.

Under the executive order, Adams is requiring bus drivers who are aware that they're carrying illegal aliens with fares paid for “by a third party” to provide the city with at least a 32-hour notice before their anticipated arrival. Again, no sweat for the drivers: New Jersey officials say they're dropping off the illegals at Secaucus Junction Train Station — about a 15-minute ride from New York City.

Moreover, according to Tyler Jones, a spokesperson from New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s (D) office, drivers are also dropping off illegals at train stations throughout the state.

Our Administration has tracked the recent arrival of a handful of buses of migrant families at various NJ TRANSIT train stations. New Jersey is primarily being used as a transit point for these families — all or nearly all of them continued with their travels en route to their final destination of New York City.

We are closely coordinating with our federal and local partners on this matter, including our colleagues across the Hudson.

Beautiful. Democrats — particularly Democrat mayors of "sanctuary cities" — are all about welcoming illegals to flood into Texas, New Mexico, and, to a lesser extent, Florida, but when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis finally said "Enough is enough" and started shipping illegals to Democrat cities — principally, NYC and Chicago — Adams and equally embattled Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who recently called Abbott a threat to "national security," quickly changed their tunes and started whining like put-upon babies. Blatant hypocrisy, anyone? Again, beautiful.

Even Secaucus, New Jersey, Mayor Michael Gonnelli (D) thinks Adams's restrictions were too stringent.

It seems quite clear the bus operators are finding a way to thwart the requirements of the Executive Order by dropping migrants at the train station in Secaucus and having them continue to their final destination.

Perhaps the requirements Mayor Adams put in place are too stringent and are resulting in unexpected consequences as it seems the bus operators have figured out a loophole in the system in order to ensure the migrants reach their final destination, which is New York City.

When Adams issued the order last Wednesday, he asked the Biden administration "to do their part with one voice.”
What the hell does that mean? One lying voice? Joe Biden? Alejandro Mayorkas? Please.

The embattled mayor also once again blamed Abbott, accusing the Texas governor of using illegals as “political pawns” as he continues to bus and fly illegals to Democrat-run “sanctuary cities” across the country.

We cannot allow buses with people needing our help to arrive without warning at any hour of day and [sic] night. This not only prevents us from providing assistance in an orderly way, [sic] it puts those who have already suffered so much in danger.

The Bottom Line

Democrat mayors' histrionics over being forced to deal with a fraction of the disastrous impact of the continuing illegal alien invasion endured by border towns is a classic example of Democrat hypocrisy — more specifically, "rules for thee but not for me."

It would be simply hilarious if only Joe Biden and the Democrat Party weren't doing their damnedest to destroy America as we know it. In that respect, Eric, suck it up — and take one for the team.
