'Unfit to Lead': Biden Fans Torch Inept President After Afghanistan Debacle

Self-created disasters are one thing. Self-created disasters created on purpose are another. Purposely self-created disasters when everyone on the planet knows you screwed up — bigly — but you continue to humiliate yourself, stubbornly insisting you have no regrets, you did nothing wrong, and you’d do it again?

Obscenely inexcusable.

Yet this is exactly what the current occupant of the White House did. As Afghanistan continues its descent into horror, prominent media figures — even CNN’s Jake Tapper — have turned on hapless Joe Biden after having staunchly supported him in the 2020 election — if for no other reason than he was not Trump.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Meghan McCain, former co-host of “The View” — whose dad John McCain was fast buddies with Biden — said she felt “physically ill” over what has happened in Afghanistan and declared Biden to be “unfit to lead.”

Same Meghan McCain, as reported by Breitbart, who has never revealed for whom she voted in the 2020 election, but has virulently opposed Donald Trump on the basis of character, often spoke fondly of Biden throughout the election cycle, said she felt “relieved” upon Biden’s victory, and supported Trump’s impeachment.

McCain wrote extensively about her disgust. (Strong language)

I have been physically ill, more depressed than I have been since the beginning stages of the pandemic and filled nothing short of pure rage and anger since the calamity of a “pull out” which will be seen as one of the greatest foreign policy catastrophes of my lifetime.

I am furious our President was so incompetent not to see what every expert on the planet could have seen coming. I am furious for my friends and family who have been fighting in these wars since I was 16 (many who have lost limbs, had their life terrorized by PTSD from their experiences in war and deployments, or worse).

I am furious seeing our allies and innocent Afghan citizens who trusted us are being left to be slaughtered or so desperate to escape the pure evil the Taliban will bring in that they are falling out of fucking planes. This is not who America is, this is not the values this country was founded in.

Our veterans than the shame, dishonor, and embarrassment of Biden.

Our veterans deserve better, the innocent Afghan people and our allies and translators who have stood by us for the past 20 years deserve better. The shame, dishonor and embarrassment the Biden administration has brought to our country will take generations to undo. Not to mention our standing in the world and the cruel reality that the likelihood of another significant domestic terror attack has now risen to the highest levels since 9/11 and will usher in ISIS 3.0.

I could say so much more (and have been raging on twitter), but please reach out to your veteran friends and their families — everyone I know is struggling. May God have mercy for what we have done to these people abandoning them.

Unfit to lead, Congress needs to step in.

Biden is unfit to lead and I am nothing short of disgusted he and his staff can’t seem to be bothered to leave their vacation during an international crisis of our own creation. There should be an emergency congressional hearing before more innocent lives are lost.

My heart is broken, this tragedy will absolutely haunt our country. Also — every single Afghan refugee fleeing must be granted a safe haven in America!

Well done, Joe. Only you could go from instilling a sense of “relief” in a fan like Meghan McCain to her calling you “unfit to lead” in just seven months.

While author Sam Harris couldn’t miss a chance to torch Trump, he blistered Biden as a “callous moron.”

“Biden achieves near-Trumpian negligence here. But unlike Trump, whose reputation among his fans was magically shielded from earthly damage, Biden can’t get away with being a callous moron in an emergency—and he shouldn’t. This is all just sickening.”

Sickening doesn’t even begin to describe the horror to come.

Famed atheist Richard Dawkins, who pretty much wished Donald Trump would catch on fire throughout his presidency and wildly celebrated Biden’s “victory,” tweeted an article written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali— author of Prey: Immigration, Islam, and the Erosion of Women’s Rights  — titled, Biden’s most heartless betrayal.

Excerpts from Hirsi Ali’s poignant article:

“I’ve been clear,” President Joe Biden told the American people on Monday, “that human rights must be the centre of our foreign policy, not the periphery. But the way to do it is not through endless military deployments. It’s with our diplomacy, our economic tools, and rallying the world to join us.”

As I listened to those words, I found myself admiring the political skill of Biden’s speechwriters — and despising their utter callousness. I wanted to shout at the TV: But what about the 19 million women now sentenced by American foreign policy to a life of darkness under the Taliban? Surely they deserve human rights, too?

Do you seriously expect anyone to believe that American diplomacy will make the Taliban treat women fairly? Is “rallying the world” remotely likely to keep Afghan girls in schools, or allow women to walk down the streets of Kabul with their faces uncovered? Do you take us all for fools?

Biden claimed to have planned for every contingency. So did he not consider evacuating the Afghans who qualified for special immigrant visas and their families (an estimated 80,0000 individuals) before withdrawing all US special forces? Was the pandemonium at the airport so very hard to foresee?

To Biden, America’s “only vital national interest in Afghanistan […] [is] preventing a terrorist attack on American homeland”. This is short-sighted. […] In reality, this chaotic, humiliating withdrawal significantly increases the risk of a terror attack on the US homeland.

Over the last several days, I’ve wept bitter tears for the women and girls whose futures are now blighted through no fault of their own. I have felt an overwhelming sense of impotence, even as I have personally tried to help get vulnerable people out of Kabul. But this sense of impotence is now giving way to a feeling of anger and of renewed purpose.

Having blundered into this wholly predictable mess, Biden has no option but to fight until every American is safely out of Afghanistan.

Ah, Ms. Hirsi Ali, Biden, and his administration do not believe the only option is fighting until every American is safely out of Afghanistan. On the contrary, the hapless president and equally hapless members of his national security team have said, over the last 48-hours, verbatim: “We will do all we can do for as long as we can do it.”

Translation: “As long as the Taliban permit us to evacuate Americans.”

Hell, even Mitt Romney — who damn near blew out a knee while immediately rushing to congratulate Biden for his “win” in 2020 — was right, for a change:

“Contrary to his claims, our choice was not between a hasty and ill-prepared retreat or staying forever. The decision to place a higher priority on a political promise than on the lives of innocent men, women and children is a stain on America’s reputation and undermines our credibility around the world.”

Even worse.

Biden continues to make his purposely self-created disaster even worse — every time he opens his mumbling mouth. As my colleague Nick Arama reported on Wednesday, there is no better illustration than his delusional interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. The combative Biden lied, easily snapped at Stephy, and was defensive as hell — while astonishingly claiming he saw “no other way” to leave Afghanistan, and it wouldn’t have eliminated the “chaos,” anyway.

Who does that? Who does that after the catastrophe in Afghanistan continued to worsen?

Who is that delusional?

I mean other than Joe Biden, of course.

Perhaps British journalist and TV personality Piers Morgan said it best:

“Biden’s failure to even admit to his catastrophic mistake, when the whole world has watched the disaster unfurl on live TV, is both breathtakingly arrogant and disturbingly delusional. He either doesn’t care or is in denial.”

Biden is weak. He is terrified of being wrong. He is incapable of understanding that accepting fault and admitting personal failure is a strength — not a weakness.

It didn’t have to be this way. Until Biden made it happen. On purpose.
