Noted Constitutional Scholar Alyssa Milano: Trump Now ‘Legally Required’ to Begin Transition Process

My favorite part about Hollywooders, professional athletes, musicians, and other learned lefty geniuses who rant and rave about all things conservative, is the degree of self-importance they assign to themselves. The second best part is their cluelessness to how hilarious — or pathetic as the case might be — they are when doing so.

Such was the case on Monday when renowned Constitutional scholar and electoral law expert Alysssa Milano informed Donald Trump and his administration that they are acting illegally by refusing to immediately begin the transition process with Team Joe.

Or something.

Yup, Trump; you need to begin the “legally-mandated” transition process NOW! Because Alyssa Milano says so! Given Milano’s propensity to only open her mouth to change feet, one wonders if the left-wing activist and sometimes marginal actress ever bases any of her ridiculous diatribes on reality.

On Planet Alyssa, never mind that not a single state has certified its 2020 election results. Never mind that serious allegations of voter fraud have been made in multiple states, resulting in multiple lawsuits. Never mind that in 2000, Democrat Al Gore forced two recounts in Florida and was headed for a third before the Supreme Court said “enough is enough” — after which Gore conceded on December 13 — 36 days after Election Day, which raises the musical question: Why should Donald Trump be held to a different standard, hmm?

This Twitter user pointed out the obvious.

“JB” gave Milano a clue about how the process works.

Even this Biden supporter told poor Alyssa she was clueless.

“Beard and Circus” figured out where Milano gets her news — which would explain a lot.

Got it yet, Alyssa?

Lemme help dazed and confused Alyssa a bit more. Here’s how the electoral process works, according to NCSL — the National Conference of State Legislators.

Dec. 8, 2020: Deadline for Resolving Election Disputes. All state recounts and court contests over presidential election results must be completed by this date. For the majority of states the date of certification is the same as for all contests, but in eight states there is a deadline that either directly references or uses similar language, requiring that disputes surrounding the selection of presidential electors be resolved in time to meet the “safe harbor” deadline: Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee,Texas and Virginia. For detailed information on state post-election processes, please visit this page.

Dec. 14, 2020: Meeting of the Electors. The electors meet in each state and cast their ballots for president and vice president. Each elector votes on his or her own ballot and signs it. The ballots are immediately transmitted to various people: one copy goes to the president of the U.S. Senate (who is also the vice president of the United States); this is the copy that will be officially counted later. Other copies go to the state’s secretary of state, the National Archives and Records Administration, and the presiding judge in the district where the electors meet (this serves as a backup copy that would replace the official copy sent to the president of the Senate if it is lost or destroyed).

Dec. 23, 2020: Deadline for Receipt of Ballots. The electors’ ballots from all states must be received by the president of the Senate by this date. There is no penalty for missing this deadline.

Jan. 6, 2021: Counting of the Electoral Ballots. The U.S. Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes.

Jan. 20, 2021: Inauguration Day. The president-elect becomes the president of the United States.

Finally, who can forget the following evidence that Alyssa Milano is not only an expert on the U.S. Constitution and election law; she had the whole mask thing figured out, early on.

In a related article earlier today titled Whoopi’s Whopper: ‘Suck It up’ and Accept Election Results ‘Like We Sucked It up’ in 2016, I reported on a similar admonition to Trump supporters — and presumably Trump himself — from noted historian Whoopi Goldberg, who suggested that it’s time for Republicans to just roll over and accept the results of the election, “like we sucked it up” in 2016. [Rolling-eyes emoji]

Can I just say that I love my job? Getting paid to write about the idiocy of the Left, including pointing out their lies and holding them accountable every chance I get — for money? And the best part of all? It’s always been a target-rich environment and it always will be.
