Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a $110 billion deal, and although it is facing some hurdles, Paramount itself announced last week that it will acquire Warner Bros. The liberals, predictably, had a meltdown about the potential deal going through.
What could this mean for companies like CNN, which Paramount will be in charge of? Paramount's goal seems to be to bring balance to mainstream media instead of it being a liberal conglomerate. Here are some of the CNN hosts who could be on the chopping block if and when this acquisition is finalized:
Jake Tapper, who has always claimed to be a "journalist," is nothing but a mouthpiece for the Democrat Party. You could see it in his own Sunday show appearances — how he questions Republicans, especially those in the Trump administration, compared to how he questions Democrats in Congress and the Biden administration. For every one "tough" question he asks Democrats, he asks Republicans five of those. The way he covers the news is always in favor of liberals and their tired talking points. Had Tapper grilled Democrats the way he tries to with Republicans, it would have been a different story. Also, Phil Mattingly has been featured as a host on Tapper's weekday show more than ever before, which could be a sign of things changing and Tapper moving to a Sunday-only role. If Paramount finalizes the deal, I think it is likely that Tapper will be let go by the network.

Anderson Cooper is another host who could be on the chopping block. Cooper is well-known and was a long-time 60 Minutes contributor on CBS. But since Paramount took over CBS, Cooper has exited as a 60 Minutes correspondent. He has been on CNN for over 24 years now, but for the past, at least 11 years, since Trump got into the political spotlight, Cooper has forgotten what journalism is. At least on CNN. He always inserts his opinion, as a fact, and his "Keeping Them Honest" segment seems to be 95 percent aimed toward Republicans. That is not journalism, it's liberal bias.

Anderson also told us that Biden's mental decline was right wing disinformation.
He also selectively edited Trump's interview so he could spread the Fine People Hoax.

One of the other hosts who could be let go is Abby Phillip, although Tapper and Cooper are higher on the list of those likely to be canned. Phillip has a show on CNN during the week in the evenings, and at times, the conversations and debates are interesting to watch. However, just like any other show on CNN, if they have one conservative voice, they will have two liberal voices. Oftentimes on her show, there are two conservatives, but three liberals. The bigger issue is that any time Scott Jennings, Shermichael Singleton, or any other conservative on her show answers a question, she turns it into a minute-long debate between her and the person she asked the question to. But, if it's a liberal on the show, more times than not, they get absolutely no pushback, even if what they are saying is flat-out false. That is a problem for a show that claims "Americans with different perspectives aren't talking to each other. But here they do." The idea of having both voices on the show is great, but she consistently talks over and tries debating the conservatives on the panel, but very minimally when it comes to the liberals, which defeats the purpose of her slogan.
CNN's Abby Phillip is one of the most toxic, awful people in TV news. She's Joy Reid with an inside voice.

Given the track record of Paramount when it comes to CBS, it seems like these three CNN hosts would be prime candidates for being shown the door. Of course, there could be more. If Paramount officially finalizes the deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, mainstream media could be well on track to be less biased, at the very least.
