The mainstream media can't seem to give Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. any credit for literally anything he has accomplished or made significant strides on in just his first year in the Trump administration. It's not unusual for the mainstream media to be biased and favor Democrat politicians, but health has nothing to do with and should have nothing to do with politics or political parties.
On Thursday, Kennedy announced that more than 50 medical schools will require students to spend 40 hours completing a comprehensive nutrition education. This is a big deal.
Kennedy said, in part:
Chronic disease is bankrupting our health system, and poor nutrition sits at the center of that crisis. Today, medical schools are committing to change how America trains its doctors -- by putting nutrition back where it belongs: at the heart of patient care.
This is long overdue.

Nutrition is one of the most powerful levers in human health, yet many physicians receive little to no formal training in it.
Requiring meaningful nutrition education in medical school is a step toward a system that focuses more on prevention, not just… https://t.co/fQL2VKvb6A
Predictably enough, the New York Times thought it would be a good idea to bash Kennedy on this proposal, as they have on pretty much everything else he has proposed, spoken about, and even made strides on. It's important to note that the New York Times receives money, primarily through advertising from Big Pharma and Big Food, so it comes as no surprise that they want to thwart Kennedy and the Make America Healthy Again movement's progress.

In the past year, since Kennedy became HHS Secretary, whether it's CNN, MSNOW, ABC, NBC, and to a certain degree, CBS, they have bashed on all of his proposals as "dangerous" and brought on a doctor like Paul Offit to back their opinions and show that an "expert" agrees with their assessment.
On CNN, Calley Means, who is now the White House Senior Advisor, and Offit appeared on live TV together. Means accused Offit of taking millions from pharma companies.
Here is the clip of Means calling out Offit to his face:

Instead of the media taking a break from their bias and saying maybe what Kennedy is doing is different, and due to the direction the country was headed towards in terms of health, we should hear him out and give him a chance, they have done the complete opposite and demonized him before he even became HHS Secretary.
Since Kennedy became HHS Secretary, here are just some of the wins we have seen: restaurants have altered their menus, companies such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts have released drinks with more protein and less sugar, and Kraft and Tyson Foods were among several companies that have committed to removing dyes. Some restaurants, such as True Food Kitchen, Sweetgreen, and Steak ‘n Shake, have announced they will phase seed oils out of their menus. Significant progress on limiting unhealthy foods in SNAP. And more. Now, he’s trying to have nutrition also be a focus in med schools, which is important.
Although companies like Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts have added those protein drink options, most of their drinks still contain too much sugar. Here was what a CBS report said about Kennedy's plan for such companies:
We're gonna ask Dunkin Donuts in Starbucks. Show us the safety data that show that it's okay to, for a teenage girl drinking ice coffee with 115 grams of sugar in it. I don't think they're gonna be able to do it
It's gonna require either new legislation and regulation or state and local governments stepping in where they can. The FDA is not the sugar police and it can't ban sugar from beverages and the Department of Health and Human Services said it has strengthened reviews and closed loopholes.

It’s bad!

But despite his strides in bettering the ingredients in America, the mainstream media does nothing but criticize his efforts to Make America Healthy Again. It's shameful.
