Three people were arrested on Thursday outside the annual Congressional baseball game as Republicans shut out Democrats.
The Republicans defeated the Democrats 10-0 in the annual Congressional baseball game at Nationals Park. Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL) led the way, throwing five shutout innings.
Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) replaced Steube; he struck out two batters as the bases were loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) allowed five runs in the seventh inning as Republicans expanded their lead to 10-0.
Pfluger closed the game in the seventh inning for the Republicans.
This was the Republicans’ third win since 2009; however, they have won in back-to-back years.
This might signify things to come, as the midterms indicate a red wave.

As RedState’s Bob Hoge reported, Democrats are on the verge of passing a $670 billion “Inflation Reduction Act” that includes billions of dollars for the climate, yet that was not enough for the climate “activists.”
The group that protested is an organization called “Now or Never.” They released a statement ahead of the protest:
“Hopeful that both actions can be taken swiftly, activists will continue pushing until Democrats’ climate promises are signed, sealed, and delivered.”
Quentin Scott, a member of the “Now or Never” organization, said:
“We didn’t anticipate that announcement to happen at that hour … We’re very encouraged by what the Senate and President Biden announced last night, and we support those negotiations. And so far, the text looks pretty solid, but not perfect.”
The climate “activists” still want more to be done regarding their climate agenda. Scott said:
“We’re really happy with this $60 billion in environmental justice priorities. We’re really happy with the $9 billion … rebates for homes. And we’re also very happy with the tax credits for used and new electric vehicles … But,” he added, “we also recognize the things that are not perfect about the deal, we’re going to continue to fight.”
Scott concluded:
“If Congress passes the deal that they announced yesterday, then it’s very unlikely that we will go ahead with a future action. But we also reserve the right to come back if somehow this deal falls apart and actually carry through those escalated actions.”
Ahead of the scheduled protests, U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger tweeted:
“We are aware that demonstrators are planning to protest political issues at the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity. Our mission is to protect the Members of Congress during this family event, so we have a robust security plan in place.”
“We urge anyone who is thinking about causing trouble at the charity game to stay home … We will not tolerate violence or any unlawful behavior during this family event.”
Several groups were holding “This is a climate emergency” signs outside of the stadium.
The “activists” will always want more; they will never be satisfied with any type of legislation passed.
