Greetings RedState community,

Just wanted to give you a heads up on the progress we are making on a couple of fronts that I know are of concern to you. First, the diaries – we have heard your complaints and concerns that the diaries were not showing up on the front page anymore. Accordingly, we have placed a field on the front page that says “reader diaries” that shows the most recent diaries in a format and size that is actually much larger than it was on the old site design. Check it out and you can see your work there as well as at the main diary page.

Second, comments – rest assured they will be coming back and we are working with both the developer and Disqus to implement a fix to the ongoing bug as soon as possible. Believe me that I share your frustration with the pace of progress but this time when we bring it back, we want it done right and we want to implement the single sign-on format that we had in the past.

Thanks for your patience as we work through these issues. Overall the site performance has been better via every metric in spite of the bugs that may have existed (bugs that we are working out daily) but we are committed to making sure that, at the end of the day, RedState users have an experience that honors their contributions to site content as much or more as the old site did.
