Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards: Does it Matter if We're Killing Living Humans?

Cecile Richards is the President of Planned Parenthood, an organization that aborts hundreds of thousands of unborn children a year. You would think, given this, that Cecile Richards would have some sort of coherent philosophical belief about when life begins that would indicate (at least to her) that she doesn’t oversee mass infanticide. You would be wrong:

On America with Jorge Ramos this weekend, Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, was asked when life begins. She responded that the answer to that question isn’t “really relevant” to the conversation.

The host’s simple, straightforward question was met with so much hemming and hawing that he was compelled to ask her what was so controversial about saying when life begins. In reply, she not only says that the answer is not “really relevant,” but she offers a personal anecdote saying that in her case, she considered the lives of her children to have begun at delivery.

The video, courtesy of IJ Review, really must be seen to be believed. Here is an organization whose business model depends on convincing women to have something inside them sliced into pieces and removed via suction. It would seem to be relevant, at least to the women in question, whether that thing is alive. Cecile Richards is here to tell you, not so! All that’s really relevant is that it is inconvenient, and Planned Parenthood can fix that inconvenience for you.

I will say this for Cecile Richards – at least she is less extreme than one elected Democrat, who actually claimed in debate on the Senate floor the life begins not at birth, but when the family decides to take the baby home from the hospital.  However, as monstrous as Barbara Boxer’s position is, at least it has the virtue of being a position, instead of just cavalier indifference to mass murder.
