White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt leveled legacy media’s CNN’s Kaitlan Collins over her and her network’s failed reporting of the massive inflation and border chaos caused by former President Joe Biden.
During a WH Press Briefing on Thursday, Collins used the Democrat talking points and narrative about how Trump’s policies have allegedly failed to address the affordability concerns of Americans. Leavitt hit back that Trump’s policies over the last ten months have done everything to “pull the country out of the hole that” Biden put us in.

But Collins hit back, suggesting there were “mixed signals” in the economy, trying to claim that inflation wasn’t down from what Trump inherited.
Leavitt wasn’t having it and called into question the utter lack of scrutiny by the members of the press, like Collins and others, against the former president, laying out the facts that when he took over, inflation was at 2.9 percent, and today it’s at 2.5 percent.
"We’re trending in the right direction with more to come,” Leavitt said. “And I would remind you that when President Trump left office in his first term, inflation was 1.7 percent. And the previous administration jacked it up to a record high of nine percent.”
“Nobody reported on [inflation] it being high under Biden...My predecessor stood up at this podium, and she said inflation doesn’t exist!” she added. “She said the border was secure!
“And people like you (CNN) took her at her word. Those were two utter lies,” Leavitt continued. “Everything I'm telling you is the truth, backed by real factual data, and you just don't wanna report on it, cause you wanna push untrue narratives about the president."

Earlier in the press briefing, Leavitt laid out more details of the steps President Trump and his administration have taken to reverse course on the destruction of our economy under Biden.

She listed the following things Trump has done to make America affordable again.
BIDEN = Inflation 9%
POTUS = Inflation down to a 2.7% avg
BIDEN = Real Wages DECLINED by $3,000
POTUS = Real Wages to INCREASE $1,200
Leavitt said the Trump administration was working every day to “bring down the cost of living through bigger paychecks, and lower prices…There's much work to do, but this has already been significant progress."
I mean, it’s hard to argue with those facts, which you know you will only get from RedState and conservative media.
