Major changes are reportedly coming to "The View" regarding its coverage of politics, specifically the anti-President Donald Trump tone coming from the ladies who co-host the show.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you already know that Trump Derangement Syndrome runs strong on the ABC daytime talk show. We have documented the insane things hosts like Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Whoopi Goldberg have said about Trump and his administration over the last few years.

According to a new report by the Daily Beast, Disney CEO Bob Iger and ABC News head Almin Karamehmedovic have reportedly grown tired of it, and the word has come down that it's time to "tone down its political rhetoric."

Multiple sources with knowledge told the outlet that things have been heated behind the scenes after the cohosts were told it's time to focus more on celebrities rather than politics and Trump, citing ratings.

The Daily Beast reported:

Karamehmedovic convened a meeting with The View's executive producer Brian Teta and its hosts, and suggested the panel needed to broaden its conversations beyond its predominant focus on politics, two sources familiar with the meeting said. Karamehmedovic highlighted episodes with celebrity guests that he said were highly rated, one source said, and encouraged them to lean into such coverage moving forward.

One source said it wasn't a directive, but the suggestion reportedly upset the cohosts. The group pushed back forcefully, with hosts like Navarro noting the show's audience routinely seeks out its perspective on politics, especially when the administration's radical attempts to upend the government can potentially affect their daily lives.

'This is what our audience wants. Isn't it gonna look kind of bad if we're all of a sudden not talking about politics?" one source characterized the hosts' comments to the boss in the meeting.

It follows another New York Post report in February that "The View" executive producer Brian Teta reportedly spoke to his staff about "going easy" on Trump-related commentary.

The directive reportedly came down after four "legal notes" were issued by cohosts during a November broadcast about allegations against Trump cabinet nominees.

A source told the Post on Thursday that the hosts "were being encouraged by their bosses to implement a 'balance of the show' and 'balance of the topics, 'and the changes were not 'Trump-specific.'"

ABC officials "constantly have conversations with talent based on viewer feedback, and this instance was no different," the source added, pointing out that the show is an opinion show and cohosts are "paid to give their perspectives on a variety of topics, including politics."

However, one conservative former "The View" cohost, Meghan McCain, reacted to the report and questioned whether any changes would ever occur, suggesting the cohosts would not stop.

She wrote on X, "They will never do that."
