Morning show gabfest “The View” is one of the most hate-filled, divisive shows on television as hosts Ana Navarro, Whoopi Goldberg, et al. are constantly whipping up race-based narratives on virtually everything that crosses their desk. Sunny Hostin is arguably the most toxic—even more than Whoopi if you can believe it—as she is endlessly hectoring her viewers on how the supposed antipathy toward black people is at the core of every issue facing the world. Oh, and she is a victim—always.
Somehow, her audience of mostly middle-aged women seems to eat it up. Go figure.
Now, after initially expressing doubts about the new Pope—Chicago-born Leo XIV—she’s suddenly a huge fan because she says records show that his “maternal grandparents are described as black, Haitian, or mulatto in several census documents.” That’s all she needs to know—not the man’s history, his philosophy, not his faith—just his ancestry. Never mind his accomplishments, it’s his DNA that’s the “chef’s kiss” [emphasis courtesy of MRC Newsbusters]:
There’s one other thing that's very interesting to me because President Trump, as you remember, called Haiti a certain type of country. As it turns out, our new American pope has Haitian and black roots! So, we actually have a black pope!
Apparently – It's a chef's kiss for me.
So, apparently both of his maternal grandparents are described as black, Haitian, or mulatto in several census documents. And on their marriage license, the grandfather's birth place is Haiti, listed as Haiti. Her birth place is listed as born in New Orleans. They were identified as people of color. But in 1920, when they migrated to Chicago, the census reflected their race as white.
“So, I’m loving it. I’m really enjoying it,” she proclaimed.
After denouncing him last week, The View's race baiter, Sunny Hostin does a 180-flip-flop on Pope Leo once she found out of his black ancestry:

"As it turns out, our new American pope has Haitian and black roots! So, we actually have a black pope! ... It's a chef's kiss for me ... So, I’m loving it. I’m really enjoying it ... And it’s good to have a black pope!"
MRC Newsbusters brings up some unfortunate facts for Ms. Hostin, however:
It’s worth the reminder that while Hostin was a race baiter who showed a lot of animosity toward white people (particularly white women and particularly who date/marry black men) and who demanded reparations, her family were prolific slave owners. Her mother’s side of the family fled Spain with their slaves and hopped between Caribbean nations trying to out run the abolition of slavery, and then tried to pretend to be Puerto Rican.
But Hostin just couldn’t let go. It’s almost as if she were shouting “He’s black!” over and over again [emphasis theirs].
NAVARRO: It's good to have an American that can he denounce the things happening against immigrants here.
HOSTIN: And it’s good to have a black pope!
(…)
NAVARRO: The things that are happening in this country are horrible and I love that there’s going to be somebody who can call it out in English.
HAINES: So, one thing –
HOSTIN: And a black pope!
There’s nothing wrong with celebrating someone’s heritage and their ancestors—my kids are mixed-race and I'm proud of their characters, not their ancestry. As my wife points out, there's really only one race—the human race.
But when DNA becomes the only thing you fixate on, that’s where we get the division and rancor we’re seeing all too often in this country.

We have reported plenty about "The View," not because we enjoy their antics, but because we believe such gaslighting and division by the mainstream/corrupt/legacy media must be countered at every turn.
Why ABC continues to allow this garbage to air is beyond me. They've been exposed as frauds time and time again, yet they allow Whoopi and Co. to go on day after day, passing gas and inspiring hate. I'd say that Hostin reached a new low with this absurd, mindless take, but she will doubtless one-up it in the coming days.
A new Pope—regardless of your feelings about him—deserves a whole lot better than this.
