The author of the book “Anonymous” (the person who wrote the infamous New York Times op-ed about how people in the Trump administration were working against him for the good of the country) is now being revealed as a clown.
There was, perhaps, some possibility that the author was someone who could be taken seriously, though the decision to write an anonymous op-ed and use it to trash the President of the United States instead of manning up and resigning before speaking his/her mind openly was an insanely insecure one. However, with the book popular in the pre-order lists and people paying attention, the bits and pieces leaking out are just mind-numbingly stupid. If anyone were to take the book seriously after the latest round of leaked details, they are hopelessly engaged in an alternate reality.
Yashar Ali obtained some excerpts from the book and they are… just unbelievable.
1. Exclusive: I've obtained passages from the book by 'Anonymous', the author of the NYT Op-ed
In the book, Anonymous claims that senior officials had no doubt that Pence would support invoking the 25th amendment if the majority of the cabinet agreed. https://t.co/MoTiIaQnuM

There is absolutely zero doubt in my mind that Mike Pence wouldn’t be on board with this plan at any point. Even setting loyalty to Trump aside, the move would be so nakedly ambitious that he would have no support among his own party once he assumed power – if he could even assume power from it.
2. Anonymous claims discussions about the 25th amendment came about when Bob Mueller was appointed by Rosenstein and Trump was behaving erratically. Anonymous claims that senior White House officials were certain Pence would support 25th amendment. https://t.co/MoTiIaQnuM

This is looking more like a subversive fanfiction than any historical account of life in the President’s administration. It is very hard to believe that, given the people involved while this person was/is in the White House would actively be partaking in this foolishness.
But, this book will get breathless coverage and people will be talking about how “revealing” and “shocking” the details are… Just like they did with Michael Wolff’s book until they realized he, too, was full of #$%#.
What a stupid time we live in.
