As RedState reported this Saturday morning, there has been another shooting in the city of Minneapolis involving federal law enforcement. It was confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that a Border Patrol agent shot a protester multiple times. The protester was allegedly armed with a handgun.
According to a post-shooting press conference with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, the 37-year-old man died, and this development has further fomented the unrest that has captured the city over the shooting two weeks ago of anti-ICE activist Renee Good.

MN Leaders, Police Chief Respond After Fatal Minneapolis Border Patrol Shooting
As of this writing and according to live coverage, protesters are refusing to leave the area and appear to be increasing in number. Almost immediately after the incident, calls to remove ICE from Minnesota came from the rogues' gallery of the politicians who have been fully complicit in this Minneapolis mess. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz demanded that President Donald Trump remove ICE (the incident involved Border Patrol, not ICE) from his state. Other Minnesota elected officials, such as Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (MN-05), called the shooting an "execution" and claimed ICE and Border Patrol are "unchecked federal forces" who "murder our neighbors." Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D), who is running for governor, demanded that Republicans and Congress "stop your silence" and "stop being complicit."
Omar's X post read:
This appears to be an execution by immigration enforcement. I am absolutely heartbroken, horrified, and appalled that federal agents murdered another member of our community. It is beyond shameful these federal agents are targeting our residents instead of protecting them. This isn’t isolated or accidental. The Trump administration is trying to beat us into submission rather than protect us. This administration cannot continue violating constitutional rights under the guise of immigration enforcement. ICE and CBP must leave Minnesota immediately. Their presence is terrorizing our communities, violating rights, and taking lives with zero accountability. Minnesota was once a place of refuge, and Trump has turned it into a war zone where unchecked federal forces murder our neighbors.

The Border Patrol Union, which represents all of the law enforcement officers under the DHS banner, immediately commented on X, defending their federal officers and blasting the politicians immediately rushing to judgment on circumstances that remain opaque, and the legacy media, which is working to reinforce the narrative of federal agents terrorizing innocent citizens.

"Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties. We have pleaded with and warned the media and the politicians that their irresponsible, hate-filled and false rhetoric is going to get people unnecessarily hurt, or worse, killed when they portray our agents and officers as the aggressors. They have encouraged these reckless confrontations and attacks on our agents and officers who are performing their lawful duties and enforcing the laws that Congress has put on the books. The fake and dishonest media and the shameless politicians should be held accountable for willfully misleading the public and enticing these protesters and agitators. We have full confidence that when more facts are revealed, our agents and officers will be shown to have utilized justifiable force in eliminating the threat."

CBP's Bovino Unleashes on Democrats During Minneapolis Press Briefing
Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino and Border Czar Tom Homan have issued similar warnings, pleading for politicians and the legacy media to stop the deceptive narrative that is costing lives rather than saving them. From the Frey/O'Hara press conference and the ramping up of attacks on both Border Patrol and ICE, they do not seem inclined to do so.
