Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is scheduled to speak at Wednesday's Night 3 of the Democrat National Convention. After the raft of falsehoods, lies, bizarre speeches and the propping and fluffing of a failing and angry Joe Biden, this DNC convention has tinges of desperation to it. Almost like, even with Kamala Harris running a basement campaign and their intention to cheat (you know it's true), they are still not sure that they have this in the bag. 

The fact that the Democrats have not outlined any legitimate policies, that they barely mention the mess of inflation, crime, and rampant open borders that has occurred on their watch, and that they cannot keep Trump's name out of their mouths shows that beyond vibes, joy, and trotting out the Obamas to inject the "Hopium," they don't have much to play with.

So, trust me, Buttigieg will be on lockdown, and probably limited to 5-10 minutes at most. There was a reason he was quickly removed from the VP running; they need that white-working class vote, and next to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm (notice she has NO main stage speaking slot), Buttigieg's follies and failures as Biden-Harris' Transportation Secretary have done nothing but harm to this voting bloc.

The Center for Transportation Policy is ahead of the curve and loaded for bear. They have taken it upon themselves to remind the American people of the infrastructure failures and tragedies that have happened under Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's watch. As I have noted before, no one except the staunchest politico remembers the name of the Transportation Secretary in any administration, Democrat or Republican. Thanks to the CTP, Pete Buttigieg's name will go down in infamy. He is a clear reflection of the failure of the Biden-Harris administration and more of what we can expect if we end up with a Harris-Walz one. 

That's exactly what the CTP is aiming for. 

This release is part of the watchdog’s ongoing campaign to hold the DOT accountable for its shoddy track record and bad policies. The video features a montage of transportation disasters under Buttigieg’s watch, including the Baltimore Bridge collapse, the Feb. 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, and recurring passenger train meltdowns in New York this summer.

“Contrary to glowing headlines praising Pete Buttigieg, the Department of Transportation is dropping the ball. According to the federal government, there were on average three train derailments daily last year, and that type of track record is unacceptable,” said CTP executive director Jackson Shedelbower. “The Department of Transportation needs to be held accountable for its poor performance.”

Remember, President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris barely acknowledged the deep damage caused by the Norfolk Southern derailment which dumped toxic chemicals into the water and the soil of East Palestine, OH, displacing thousands of residents. Former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump not only acknowledged their pain but visited the region soon after the February 2023 tragedy. Although Secretary Pete showed his raggedy hindquarters soon after, Biden waited a full year before even bothering to tour the region. And Cackling Kamala? MIA, as usual. Reports of health issues, even among the workers doing the cleanup, are still being documented.

Buttigieg and his terrible management of our national infrastructure is just another example of Biden-Harris failures. So, expect Buttigieg to make no mention of "racist roads," or how safe the nation is under Harris. Do expect him to play up how he fought for the "people's rights" regarding the airline debacles and his demand for action in the cleanup of East Palestine or the quick rebuilding of the Baltimore Bridge. We also may hear about how he and his husband Chasten could only become parents through the wonders of IVF and how those evil Republicans want to take it away.

Bet on it. The CTP also has a fact sheet listing the number of tragedies that have occurred on Buttigieg's watch. Hopefully, this and the CTP ad will further destroy the illusion the DNC is trying to create that Harris has any experience, competence, or judgment to lead this nation.
