Less than a week into Joe Biden’s presidency, it seems clear that the Democrats wish to govern in the same way they campaigned during the 2020 election season. Their main message to the American public was “Orange Man Bad.” They did not present any real solutions for the country. The left did not bother to articulate a compelling message for America.

Instead, the Democrats’ message was “everything is Trump’s fault.”

Now that they control the presidency along with both chambers of Congress, it is evident that they don’t quite know what to do yet. Sure, they know they’re going to push as many far-left trash policies through as possible. But it does not appear that they are concerned about holding onto power after the 2022 midterm elections.

Instead, it seems that their strategy is to blame Trump for anything that goes wrong and hope that the activist media can help them convince the public that their falsehoods are true. We can already see this in the CNN story alleging that the Biden administration did not inherit a viable plan for distributing the COVID-19 vaccine from the Trump team.

On Thursday, the activist media outlet reported:

But in the immediate hours following Biden being sworn into office on Wednesday, sources with direct knowledge of the new administration’s Covid-related work told CNN one of the biggest shocks that the Biden team had to digest during the transition period was what they saw as a complete lack of a vaccine distribution strategy under former President Donald Trump, even weeks after multiple vaccines were approved for use in the United States.

One could easily see the strategy here. Biden officials – who did not want to be named – told CNN there was no distribution plan from the Trump administration to explain away the fact that Biden’s team will not fulfill his campaign promise to shut down the coronavirus. Indeed, it was recently revealed that despite his constant criticisms of Trump’s handling of the pandemic, Biden’s team’s plan is on par with his predecessor. In fact, several experts recently voiced their concerns about the administration’s plans to distribute vaccines.

They plan to blame Trump when it becomes apparent that Biden is unable to do any better. This way, they do not have to worry about future COVID-19 deaths being attributed to the new president. The White House realizes that activist media outlets like CNN and others will happily cover for their failures.

But there’s a slight problem – at least with this story.

It turns out that the Biden officials cited in CNN’s report were lying through their teeth, and it wasn’t too hard to figure this out. If the Trump administration had no real plan to distribute the immunizations, we wouldn’t be hearing about states figuring out how to get them to the public. And yet, that’s precisely what we hear about in various news reports. But even worse, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who headed the coronavirus response team, exposed the deception later in the day.

The doctor was asked about the matter and explained that the claims made by the White House were inaccurate.  “We certainly are not starting from scratch because there is activity going on in the distribution,” Fauci answered.

Fox News pointed out how the author of the report doubled down on its veracity. “CNN White House correspondent MJ Lee, who authored the report, defended her story on social media, characterizing Fauci as ‘a holdover from the Trump administration.’ Yet on the same day, news reports touted Fauci’s remarks that he felt freer to speak his mind under Biden than he did with Trump,” they wrote.

Here’s the bottom line: Biden’s team, along with the activist media, knows they will likely not make any real strides in halting the spread of the virus. This report was the first of what will surely be many attempts to deflect blame for their inevitable ineptitude.

In this particular case, Biden’s team and its media activist allies crashed and burned. But this does not mean they won’t keep trying. Still, trust in the media is currently at historic lows, which means that anything they report will be taken with a gigantic vat of salt.
