What do you get when you cross the two lowest IQs in media and have them talk about the issues of the day? Why, you get this brilliant exchange between CNN media activists Don Lemon and Chris “Fredo” Cuomo.

On Wednesday, the two supposed journalists were conversing during the handoff period between their shows when Lemon told his colleague that those who voted for President Donald Trump are part of the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6. He also asserted that these malevolent individuals are somehow in solidarity with the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis.

“They were wearing Nazi insignia on their clothing. They were neo-Nazis,” Lemon began. “They were fascists or fascist supporters. They were members of groups that people in Washington should not be fighting for at this point.”

The activist went on to argue that we must remove politics from the equation because it gives conservatives an excuse to avoid having tough conversations about race. He then proceeded to use race as an excuse to dodge a tough conversation involving politics. He asked Cuomo how he would react if he found himself in a crowd and realized that the people around him were sporting neo-Nazi paraphernalia.

“In your mind wouldn’t you say, ‘my goodness, I have made the wrong decision, I need to get out of here,'” Lemon said.

“Unless I agreed with those ideas,” Cuomo agreed.

Cuomo then countered, “And if they say I don’t agree with those people, I just like Trump’s policies.”

“Well, then get out of the crowd with them,” Lemon bloviated.

“I wasn’t in the crowd,” Cuomo protested hypothetically.

“You’re in the crowd who voted for Trump. If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. That’s the crowd that you are in,” Lemon insisted. “You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers. Took the lives of police officers. Took the lives of innocent lives who were there on the Capitol that day.”

While it wasn’t clear from the video clip, one could easily imagine Lemon and Cuomo trying to keep a straight face as they pretended to care about “the lives of police officers.”

Lemon concluded the exchange with dramatic flair by pretending the whole affair was about racism and stuff. “We had racist people who tried to take over the Capitol. We have tens of thousands of members of the military who are now guarding the Capitol of this country. Because of what? Because these people tried to take over the country. Because we told you about it. The news told you about it,” he declared.

Ever since the pro-Trump riot at the U.S. Capitol building last week, the Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media have spent so much time on their high horses that the saddle sores must be unbearable at this point. The left has pushed a full-court press to paint all conservatives as the same type of people who thought it was a good idea to storm the Capitol building despite the fact that the majority of people present did not participate. So much for that “mostly peaceful” line of bovine excrement they were spewing when the far deadlier riots swept the nation last summer, right?

The conversation between Lemon and Cuomo was a rather clumsy example of a journalistic practice known as “nutpicking.” This tactic involves honing in on fringe elements among a group and making them appear to be mainstream within that faction. In essence, CNN’s Bonehead Bros. want their audience to think that the majority of conservatives are in line with the rioters.

But in so doing, they only reveal their hypocrisy. The same people who rightly took umbrage with those insinuating that all members of Black Lives Matter are Marxist terrorists are doing the same to conservatives. If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume they don’t really mean anything they say and are only there to push an agenda. But what do I know?
