Biden Makes Bizarre Claim About MAGA Riots At U.S. Capitol

You’ve seen it for yourself. There are a million different ways that the left deceives their audience. One of these is taking hyperbole to such a ridiculous level that you have to admire their wild imaginations and irrational creativity.

This tendency was on full display when former Vice President Joe Biden weighed in on the violence that took place at the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday during a pro-Trump rally. During his speech, Biden turned the drama to level 11 as he lamented the overwhelming travesty that occurred in the nation’s capital and even went so far as to claim that this incident is “one of the darkest days in the history of our nation.”

He went on to state that the riots were an “unprecedented assault on our democracy” and the “rule of law.”

But perhaps we should cut Biden some slack. As we have seen over the past year or so, he has trouble remembering certain things. So it should not be a surprise that he doesn’t remember that the United States once allowed slavery on its soil. That’s right. The nation actually enabled people to own other people and to treat them like animals. But, according to Uncle Joe, this isn’t as bad as breaking the windows of a government building.

Biden probably doesn’t remember that on September 11, 2001, radical Islamic extremists flew planes into the Twin Towers, killing 3,000 Americans in one day. But even so, that level of terrorism pales in comparison to a MAGA supporter sitting in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s chair in her office at the capitol.

It probably slipped Biden’s mind that Japan bombed U.S. soldiers at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, resulting in America becoming involved in World War II. But what’s a few dead soldiers compared to MAGA zealots occupying the capitol building for a few hours?

Remember the Cuban Missile Crisis? I don’t, because I wasn’t born yet, but I learned about it in school, so I know that scores of Americans were living in abject terror of nuclear war during that time. Perhaps Biden just forgot that it happened?

How about the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? That day sucked too, especially for black Americans who were fighting for their civil rights. But maybe Biden wasn’t thinking about that when he watched reports of people screaming at police officers, which is FAR worse than the killing of a leader trying to get the U.S. to live up to its foundational principles.

Of course, none of this is meant to downplay what occurred at the capitol yesterday. It was an futile and unproductive exercise that resulted in the death of a veteran. Nothing positive came from it.

Still, to imply that it is one of the darkest days this nation has faced is a bald-faced lie that only a dog-faced pony soldier would dare to utter in public. But Biden is merely echoing the narrative being furiously disseminated by Democratic politicians and left-wing media activists.

As usual, the left is overplaying their hand due to their need to use every horrible event as a political attack against their opposition. But the fact that the overwhelming majority of conservatives are denouncing these acts will make it nearly impossible for the activist media to make their labels stick when it comes to persuading moderates on either side. In the end, this will likely end up as an attack that falls flat.
