The Activist Media’s Handling Of Warnock’s Checkered Past Shows Why They Are A Laughingstock

If you ever needed another lesson teaching you why the left-wing activist media is not to be trusted, look no further than the coverage, or lack thereof, that our vaunted Fourth Estate is giving to Georgia Senate candidate Pastor Raphael Warnock. The pastor, who is challenging incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler for her seat, has quite a checkered past, but you wouldn’t know it because alleged news outlets refuse to give it any attention.

As my colleague, Bonchie noted, Warnock is “taking another blow in the form of allegations of abuse via the church camp he used to run. Those come from the testimony of a man named Anthony Washington, who claims to have had urine thrown on him, among other things.”

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

Warnock has faced scrutiny over his 2002 arrest for allegedly obstructing a child abuse investigation by Maryland State Police that centered on the camp’s treatment of children. Washington’s account is buttressed by records from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, obtained by the Free Beacon earlier this month, which indicated that campers were routinely left unsupervised; staffers were not subject to required criminal background check; and at least five cases of child abuse or neglect were brought against the camp’s director, who was ultimately forced to resign.

As of this writing, only one major left-leaning news outlet covered the story about this controversy. On Tuesday, Yahoo News published a piece noting that Loeffler called Warnock out for his refusal to give an explanation for the story.

“Clearly something was going on here,” Loeffler during an interview with National Review. “This is the camp that he ran, that he oversaw, that he was involved in every single day, that was later shut down and he left the church.”

So, where is CNN? What about The New York Times and The Washington Post? Will MSNBC or CBS News cover the story?

You already know the answer, dear reader.

These activist media outlets will ignore this story as well as all of Warnock’s other foibles. Remember, the candidate has other problematic issues. He’s been accused of making anti-Semitic statements. He made questionable remarks about Christians and the military. He’s been accused of running over his wife’s foot. Each of these is at least worth looking into, and if the media were genuine news outlets, they would be asking him about each of these controversies.

Unfortunately, journalists are a rare breed nowadays. Each of these establishment media outfits is not journalistic organizations, they are activist groups that employ activists disguised as reporters whose goal is to influence instead of inform.

Their objective in Georgia is not to make sure the nation is aware of what is going on. It is to use their platforms to ensure that Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock win their races. This is exactly how they operated with the presidential election.

As I have explained on several occasions, the media typically lies by omission more than commission. They are not deceiving people by making up positive stories about Warnock. Instead, they are omitting the negative stories about him.

While trust in the media is in the proverbial toilet, they still manage to hold on to a level of influence that they obviously do not deserve. Hopefully, Georgia’s voters are not fooled. Otherwise, the activist media will ensure that the Democrats control the Senate.
