It looks like Alt-Right leader Richard Spencer is ridin’ with Biden.
In a series of tweets, the white nationalist announced that he was no longer supporting President Donald Trump and has switched his allegiance to the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden. Despite the fact that he announced his decision on Sunday, the corporate press has yet to give it even a brief mention. Quite a shocker, isn’t it?
Spencer took to Twitter to explain his decision. In response to a question from another user, he tweeted: “I plan to vote for Biden and a straight democratic ticket. It’s not based on ‘accelerationism’ or anything like that; the liberals are clearly more competent people.”

The alt-right figurehead followed up the next day with a tweet proclaiming that he is “on Team Joe” along with his new slogan: “Liberals are clearly more competent.” In a series of tweets, he outlined his reasons for switching his vote to Biden.
“The MAGA/Alt-Right moment is over. I made mistakes; Trump is an obvious disaster; but mainly the paradigm contained flaws that we now are able to perceive. And it needs to end,” he wrote. “So be patient. We’ll have another day in the sun. We need to recover and return in a new form.”
He added: “I will never flip on my fundamental principles. (My principles were never voting for the supposed ‘the lesser or two evils’ or ‘stopping big government.’)
Spencer is known for coining the term “alt-right” and helping to organize the Unite The Right Rally in Charlottesville, Virginia at which a protester was killed by a white supremacist who drove his car into a crowd. During the 2016 campaign, he also made headlines when he shouted “Hail Trump!” at an event and was greeted with Nazi salutes from the audience.
The white nationalist influencer began souring with Trump over some of the president’s foreign policy decisions including the airstrike on Syria in 2017 and the recent killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. In response to the airstrike that killed the general, he tweeted: “I deeply regret voting for and promoting Donald Trump in 2016. To the people of Iran, there are millions of Americans who do not want war, who do not hate you, and who respect your nation and its history.”
As if Spencer’s change of heart wasn’t bizarre enough, Biden began his campaign with an ad that promoted the “fine people” hoax that the far left and the corporate media have used to unfairly smear Trump. They claim the president praised the Neo-Nazis at the event that Spencer helped to organize.
As of this writing, no major corporate media outlet has even mentioned this story. And yet, when Spencer was an avid Trump supporter, the left couldn’t stop using his endorsement against the president. Indeed they even attempted to tie former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke to Trump despite his disavowing the white supremacist multiple times.
But none of this is a surprise. Why? Because the far left does not care about white supremacy or racism. Their principles are nonexistent when it comes to their own side. Indeed, the only reason progressives tend to focus on racism isn’t that they want to defeat it, but because they want to leverage it as a political weapon. This is why we won’t be hearing about Spencer during this election cycle. Hypocrisy just makes everything so much easier, doesn’t it?
