Donald Trump nominated Scott Pruitt, the Oklahoma Attorney General to head up the Environmental Protection Agency and the media is having a collective freakout. Just looking through the headlines is enough to make you wonder if the people writing them are members of the Obama administration or Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Here are just some of them:

New York Times – Trump Picks Scott Pruitt, Climate Change Denialist, to Lead E.P.A.

Washington Post – Trump said to pick Scott Pruitt to head EPA, an agency he is suing as Oklahoma attorney general

Politico – Trump to pick oil ally Pruitt to head EPA

Reuters – Trump to pick foe of Obama climate agenda to run EPA

ABC News – Trump Selects Oklahoma Attorney General and EPA Critic Scott Pruitt to Head EPA

NBC News – Donald Trump Picks GOP Oil Industry Ally, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, to Lead EPA

One would expect these headlines from Salon, Vox or Slate. But these are major news outlets, and they’re reporting it the way you’d see it on their editorial pages.

For laughs, there are the left wing sites where the people are just beside themselves:

Occupy Democrats – NIGHTMARE: Trump Appoints Climate-Denying Big Oil Shill To Head The EPA

Jezebel – Trump Picks Fossil Fuel Industry’s Close Personal Friend to Run the EPA (Note this one sounds similar to the mainstream headlines).

Mother Jones – Donald Trump’s Pick To Head The EPA Is “An Existential Threat To The Planet”

It’s all kind of funny.
