1. Obama Lacks Faith in the American People

Barack Obama is out accusing the Republican Party of a lack of faith in the American people. But it is Barack Obama who thinks the government must tell people what they can and cannot eat.It is Barack Obama who thinks the government must tell people what insurance they must have.It is Barack Obama who believes the government must regulate bank charges, overdraft fees, and everything else for the American people. It is Barack Obama who lacks faith in the American people. His faith is not in the people nor in God, but in government. And the public has no faith in Barack Obama. In fact, the Democrats are beginning to contemplate life in the minority. They are fearing a Senate loss. Why?Because while Barack Obama is accusing the Republicans of lacking faith in the American people, the American people lack faith in the Democrats to do anything other than ruin this country. Please click here for the rest of the post.

2. Stimulus not even filling potholes.

Let me put this situation into perspective for you.

Funny how that works out, isn’t it? – the way that “them that has, got,” I mean. You’d almost be ready to believe that some of this stimulus money was distributed with a look at the 2008 election returns. But that’s just crazy talk. Please click here for the rest of the post.

3. Republican Senators Must Filibuster Elena Kagan

Americans have now learned about the extreme views of Solicitor General Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court. Kagan’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee contained much clear evidence of her expansive view of federal power and her lack of respect for the 2nd Amendment. Kagan’s views on the Commerce Clause and Americans’ right to “keep and bear arms” make her unfit to serve on the Supreme Court. Senators should filibuster her nomination to stop her sitting on the highest court in the land. Please click here for the rest of the post.

4. End the Bailouts

At a time when Americans are speaking out against government bailouts and wasteful spending, President Obama is committing at least $50 billion of U.S. tax dollars to help bailout Greece and the European Union.Just today, the Financial Times reported that the IMF is seeking to boost its lending resources by another $250 billion. If the IMF is successful, the U.S. contribution to the E.U. bailout could be upwards of $100 billion. Please click here for the rest of the post.

5. This Week in Washington

The House this week will work on 29 bills on the suspension calendar, a bill to extend unemployment insurance and another bill modifying flood insurance. The Senate will swear in Carte Goodwin (D-WV) to complete the term of the late Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV), TARP, Jr., an extension of unemployment insurance and possibly the War Supplemental. The Committees in the House and Senate will continue work on appropriations bills. The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on the nomination of anti-Second Amendment nominee Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. Please click here for the rest of the post.
