1. I Guess Deval Patrick Is Worried About Me
Speaking at a law school forum, Deval Patrick, the Governor of Massachusetts, said, “”on my worst day, when I’m most frustrated about folks who seem to rooting for failure.”I sure as heck am rooting for Barack Obama’s failure.Look at this place. Under Obama’s regime the SEIU purple people beaters are showing up on the porches of private citizens to harass them, oil is pouring out of the Gulf of Mexico and Obama’s EPA wants BP to stop using chemicals to fight the slick while Obama golfs, unemployment remains at 10% and Obama’s solution is to throw money at the problem, our nation’s enemies are emboldened by Obama’s lack of fortitude, terrorists are rattling the cages looking for weaknesses, the deficit is going up, small businesses are shutting down, job creators are being bullied in ways Obama would never bully Iran or North Korea, and the list goes on and on and on.I sure as heck want Barack Obama to fail because otherwise the nation is going to fail.But to Deval Patrick’s larger point, that people like me are engaging in sedition, the Democrats for eight years said dissent was patriotic. So suggests the morons running our Country right now, at least:”Responding to the massive BP oil spill, Congress is getting ready to quadruple—to 32 cents a barrel—a tax on oil used to help finance cleanups. The increase would raise nearly $11 billion over the next decade.”The tax is levied on oil produced in the U.S. or imported from foreign countries. The revenue goes to a fund managed by the Coast Guard to help pay to clean up spills in waterways, such as the Gulf of Mexico.”It would be really cool if someone in Washington could help us understand what good it will do to take even MORE of the money we don’t have enough of already to put in their pockets so they can have it available to them the next time a problem THEY don’t know how to solve comes along so it can be…solved.Please click here for the rest of the post.

Having dramatically expanded the role of the government in your doctor’s office and your bank this year, the Obama administration is turning its attention to your kitchen. Sara Burrows, a reporter for the Carolina Journal, reported on the ramifications of the Obama administration’s war on salt, announced recently as a nationwide decade long program by the FDA. The Obama World Apology tour never seems to end, does it? Although over time, it has morphed from apologizing for perceived wrongs committed against poor little rest of the world by mean old America, into simply apologizing for mean old America existing in the first place. At every step this administration eschews the idea of American leadership and declares the virtue of world governing bodies. The latest is a soundbyte doozy though.Eyeblast has video of Vice President Biden with the latest bit of obsequiousness in a speech delivered to the European Union earlier this month. 5. Join Sarah Palin & RedState in Helping Nikki Haley
No one cared about Nikki Haley when she was in third place in South Carolina — no one, that is, except RedState and Sarah Palin.Now guess what? Nikki Haley is in first place with a double digit lead over the number two candidate. Rasmussen has her at 11 points up. So what do they do? A blogger claims he has an “inappropriate physical relationship” with Nikki Haley. Mind you, he doesn’t say sex, but that is the implication.It all comes about after Republican leaders in the South Carolina House and Senate get together to figure out a way to stall Haley’s momentum. They couldn’t attack her record. They couldn’t attack her business dealings. So they went straight for sleaze.Well, Sarah Palin and RedState are not going to abandon Nikki Haley just because some blogger claims he stole her toenail clippings or something.But time is short. And Nikki Haley is going to need cash fast to combat this smear. We’ve stood up for her the whole time. Rep. Joe Sestak’s (D) admitted that the White House tried to bribe him. This week is the last week of work for the House and Senate before the Memorial Day recess and these are the times when taxpayers should keep a close eye on elites on Capitol Hill. Keep an eye on all of the expensive ideas up for a vote, because this week could prove very expensive for the American people if Congress passes every “must pass” bill.
