I don't know how many times I've written a piece like this, but I'm going to write it again and again until my keyboard is forcibly taken away from me, and even then, I'll shout it in the streets.
Democrats do not care about Americans. There's no ifs, ands, or buts to this statement. You fall into one of two categories as a Democrat: You're either useful or a problem. The thing is, it's when you're useful that you're the most in danger, and Democrats have been proving that incessantly since Donald Trump was first elected back in 2016.
And don't think I mean they find conservatives useful, though they do, to be sure. Having you handcuffed and wheeled out in prison attire in front of cameras because you reported on January 6 in a way they didn't like is useful. Dragging you through a murder charge for defending innocents on a New York subway from a crazed black man is useful. Even putting the spotlight on a minor who had an amused facial expression and making him public enemy number one is useful.
But I think that no one should be more terrified to be useful to the Democrats than a leftist. You see, if you believe what they believe, then there is no greater purpose you can serve than to be martyred for the cause. Dying at the hands of someone who fits all the right identifiers is the most helpful thing you can do, and if and when it eventually happens, you can bet they'll use your name and image as a tool to strengthen their narrative.
All of your accomplishments, all of your hopes and dreams, and all of who you are will be whittled down to narrative support, and when that narrative is no longer useful, your memory will be discarded.
Watch: Jacob Frey's Disgraceful Remarks About ICE Shooting Ignore Facts, Encourage Trouble
Case in point, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good decided to try to run over an ICE agent and was shot dead for her efforts. Excuses for her behavior are flying from every corner of the Left, and they keep wheeling out a woman named Emily Heller to recount the story of the atrocity committed by ICE agents, though the story continues to become more embellished and articulate with every telling.
The real issue isn't the news networks, however. It's the fact that elected leaders are now standing atop Good's body and sounding the war horns.
As my colleague Becca Lower reported on Wednesday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) got in front of cameras and put on the performance of a leader who has, quite regretfully, been put into the noble position of the leader of a rebellion. One part of his post-shooting song and dance that should really grab the attention of anyone watching is when he noted that "We've never been at war with our federal government."

My friend and colleague, Ward Clark, got the same feeling from the consistent rage-baiting from Democrats that I did, penning a piece asking if Democrats are trying to "spark a new civil war?":
But in recent days, again, we've seen them go rather farther than shouting and waving signs with mind-numbingly dumb slogans professionally printed on them. Now they are attacking federal law enforcement, and only hours before this writing, a lunatic in the out-of-control (again) city of Minneapolis, if we are to judge from the video, tried to run over a federal agent, and has now assumed room temperature. This is the same city, remember, that gave us the George Floyd riots of 2020, and it's only a matter of dumb luck, or good fortune, that we didn't tip into civil war that summer.
I'm fairly certain we only missed it by inches. And things now aren't any better. They may be getting worse.

As an aside, I think the answer to Clark's question is yes, but not a war-war. Democrats have seemingly been fantasizing about civil war for some time, and I don't just mean the rank and file. Biden once chuckled about the federal government having F-15s that could easily beat a citizen's AR-15, something that I found both disgusting and infinitely stupid to think.

But I think what they like is the idea of war, not an actual war. Like a carrot on a stick, they dangle the prospect of a war against conservatives and MAGA to impress a severity on their followers. They want the violence, but not the complication and finality of war. Shouting about war gets the blood bumping, fighting a war invites reality to set in, and they definitely don't want that.
As Ayanna Pressley once said during an interview on MSNBC during the destructive and deadly height of the Black Lives Matter riots, "There needs to be unrest in the streets as long as there's unrest in our lives." The highest calling for leftists at the moment is to burn, pillage, assault, and kill, but nothing is better than dying for the cause. The war needs to stay more ideological than tactical.
Look at how this political grooming is handled. Democrat leaders painting violent takeovers of entire city blocks as the "summer of love" and equating mere disagreement with running narratives as "violence" is all pointed at encouraging conflict on a street level. It works. The bodies are already piling up. Innocent children are dead, leftists have been "martyred," they tried to kill Donald Trump, and they succeeded in killing Charlie Kirk.
And even though things have gone so far that leftists are trying to run over ICE agents and actively assault them, the Left isn't trying to hold up their hands and calm everyone down lest more get hurt; they're actively amping up the rage. They want people furious. They want them to be violent because that violence could turn into blood, and that blood could turn into a narrative.
It's working, too. This guy is just a drop in the bucket of videos I've seen online.
