I actually kind of hate that Sydney Sweeney has become a new beachhead in the culture war because it's proof that we can't have nice things without wokescolds losing their mind about it.
Still, I think Sweeney is worth fighting over, and not just for the obvious reasons.
As Bonchie covered in his latest article, Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ad is being labeled as "Nazi propaganda" by leftists, and by leftists, I mean leftist women who probably had their pictures leaked from the Tea App breach.

The argument being made is that Sydney Sweeney is blond haired, blue-eyed, and this apparently means American Eagle is saying that the Aryan race is the best race because of its genes.

The double-meaning here is about the jeans Sweeney is selling for American Eagle, but when they're referencing Sweeney's genes, they're clearly talking about her beauty and huge... tracts of land.
Yet, the left's lens is fixed by their programming, and they can only see this as a reference to Sweeney's racial and physical traits... and they're making it clear that this is straight-up, unapologetic, and completely intentional Nazi propaganda. As Bonchie covered in his article, the left and its legacy media are trying to make this about eugenics.
Why are they doing this when it's obvious that isn't what American Eagle was getting at?
Because the left is racist. Period.
And when I say the left is racist, I don't mean in the way they like to accuse the right of being racist whenever they sneeze. I mean, they are unabashedly racist, and they think it's okay to be racist because they've convinced themselves they're being racist in the name of combatting racism.
How does that make sense?
It doesn't to any rational person, but to many on the left who are obsessed with social justice, they're doing this because they think that if they don't, then the sky will fall and the actual Nazis will return from the grave.
If it sounds stupid, it's because it is. If it sounds evil, you're also correct.
The left have it in their heads that in order to prevent the rise of WW2-era fascism and Nazism — of which the modern left has elements of both in spades — then white people need to be sidelined, disadvantaged, and denounced at every turn. White people cannot be celebrated in any way, and if it even looks like whiteness is being celebrated, it immediately has to be labeled as a grave social sin.
They will not do this if any other race is being brought up. It's strictly white people.
This is textbook racism because what we have here is one race being labeled as evil vs all the others, and thus needing to constantly be publicly reviled, belittled, and even accused of sins white people in the modern day didn't commit if necessary.
Basically, they do what they themselves paint as evil in any other situation.
Moreover, you see this demonstrated in many other instances lately. For instance, the Department of Homeland Security has been posting artwork that elicits pride in America. This immediately translates to "Nazi propaganda" in the mind of the leftist.

The nation that stopped Hitler is now the new Hitler is certainly a take.
But the left can't help it. Everything pro-American is racism because the left can't stop associating America with white people, despite its own claim that America is a nation of immigrants.
This is wildly unhealthy for us as a country to have a solid chunk of it think the majority of it is evil. It can drive a person crazy and cause a sharp divide between groups.
We do a lot to combat racism in America because, in truth, racism is antithetical to the American way. It's why we take it so seriously in the states and see it as a shameful thing to be.
However, this needs to apply to everyone across the board, and not be excusable in any regard. Either racism is evil or it's not. The left doesn't get to pick and choose.
Anti-white racism needs to be just as shamed as every other kind, and more people need to start speaking out about it.
