James Carville is an interesting guy in that he's one of the few Democrats who will openly challenge the far-left in his party with language that is blunt and to the point. In fact, I'd say he's increasingly becoming the voice of disaffected Democrats, many of whom find themselves nestled in Donald Trump's camp.
While I fundamentally disagree with Carville on many a topic, I can appreciate his ability to tell it like it is, which is exactly what he did with Ilhan Omar.
Omar is — like many of the younger, more radicalized Democrats — a detriment to her party in that she continues to drag it leftward through social justice obsession and anti-American sentiments. As my colleague, Rusty Weiss, recently reported, Carville went in on Omar for alienating a large chunk of the American voting base with her anti-white racism:
Carville references Omar's past comments, processes the math, and declares that painting a vast voting bloc as racist killers is not a smart strategy. To say the least.
"And there are people that agree with her! There are people that actually agree with her," he rages. "And I think it’s — honestly, I think these people are more trouble than they’re worth.”

Carville added that she should leave the Democrat Party and start her own movement, but let's face facts, that's not going to happen. The point of people like Omar is to infect places of power, and without some serious intervention that would require an entire cultural change within the Democrat Party, the Omar infection will continue to spread.
But while Carville is right about Omar, he's not digging deep enough in order to understand what's at the heart of the movement people like Omar represent. In fact, I would say this is a major issue with many of the more moderate (subjective to the radicals' position) Democrats.
Like many on the left, Carville sees the population as boxes of identities, just like Omar does. To be clear, it's not an unproven way to view the voting populace. Even Republicans do it, but the difference is in how the left classifies these identities. Republicans will see a demographic as black, white, male, female, etc., and recognize cultural differences but strive to bring all these races into a state of success under traditional American values and standards.
Meaning, Republicans will see the black community and, instead of asking what it is they want, they'll take measured steps to elevate the opportunities within that community by increasing job availability and making it beneficial for a family to stay together. It sounds impersonal and almost cold, but ultimately, it's far more beneficial, which is why you see the black community becoming a bit more Republican under Trump. It gets results.
Democrats will look at a demographic and classify it based on how well it advances their narrative and agenda. Since the radical left's agenda is the fundamental transformation of America into something less American and more socialist, anything that represents that American traditionalism is automatically bad.
In the eyes of the left, the racial demographic that represents the traditional United States societal standard is white people, and specifically white men, who are popularly the movers of American society in American history. This is one of the reasons the left seems to treat white men as a societal negative so much. They represent an ideological standard that needs to be conquered and stamped out.
It's like white men carry an original sin with them, which is why white men are considered the enemy. Even white men within the Democrat Party are considered lesser than women, especially women of color.
Not that being a woman, or even a woman of color, won't stop leftists from attacking you if you step out of line. Suddenly, being in one of those protected identity groups gets tossed out the window the moment you speak out or act against the agenda. Some really great examples here are Riley Gaines, any Republican woman in office, female cultural commentators who call out Hollywood slop, etc.
Because, ultimately, it's not about the identity, it's about the end game. Races, identities, etc., these are all just tools to achieve the end of American traditionalism and replace it with whatever they end up calling socialism next.
The only way the Democrats start being nice to white men is if they stop being patriots by and large, and that's not going to happen anytime soon. The thing is, what they're attacking just looks like attacks on men. It's really attacks on America, and the more they do that, the fewer people want to be on their side.
As it turns out, people actually like America, despite what the left likes to say. They want to see it flourish because, when it does, they do too. Historically, America rewards individualism and merit, and even identities outside of "white male" are sick of watching as the left attempts to box them in through various methods.
So Carville is fighting a losing battle here. The Democrat Party is going to continue making these mistakes because these mistakes are a result of its ideological obsession with anti-Americanism, and that means attacking demographics to its own detriment because it thinks these demographics are representative of their ideological enemy, American traditions.
