The Dallas Cowboys have officially ended one of the worst seasons in some time, especially after many a blunder by team owner and manager Jerry Jones, causing more Cowboys fans to call for his resignation than ever before. There are even demands that he sell the team.

The thing is, if Jones does end up doing as Cowboys fans demand, he could always find himself a place in Hollywood as an actor, because as it turns out, the man is an incredible one.

The show "Landman" had Jones make a cameo as himself, where he sits down and gives a short monologue to characters Monty (Jon Hamm) and Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) while Monty is in the hospital after having suffered a third heart attack. The show already focuses on aspects like family and dynasty in the oil and gas industry, which makes an appearance by Jones — an oil and gas man himself — a fitting moment.

It's here that Jones, playing himself, delivers an excellent monologue so well that his acting skills surprised everyone, including yours truly, a Cowboys fan. While the delivery was excellent, the content of the monologue was even better, as it highlights that all the success in the world pales in comparison the importance of family.

"Now I'm not saying I've done anything right, but I made my mind up a long time ago, I was gonna work with my kids," said Jones. "And they're involved in everything. They're involved in my leasing, oil and gas, real estate. And so, when I got the Cowboys, I got it so that we could all work together. I thought I was doing it for them, but the one who got the most out of it was me."

The camera cuts to Jones' face at this point, and there is an emotion there that actually gives one the impression that he's not acting. What Jones is saying is backed by a very real emotion he's having. He continues talking to Monty from here, telling him where his real focus should be:

"I just know it's not gonna be this time, but you're gonna be sitting there some time in the future, laying here some time in the future, and this room's gonna be full of your business associates and the people you've worked with all your life, and more than likely, your children and your family's gonna be there because they're your children and your family. But you could have 'em there because they're the people you spent your life with, you worked with, you fell down with, you got up with. Not just Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's who you want to be with. So when that time comes like this, it's a celebration of your life, and you're not wishing you'd spent a little more time seeing a few more suns come up. That's the trick. 'Cause that's gonna be your glory.

Jones brings it back to his personal experience here, and again, you get the impression that while he's acting, he's speaking nakedly as Jerry Jones again.

“I’m pretty proud of them Cowboys. I’m pretty proud of what we’ve done in oil and gas,” Jones adds. “It pales in comparison to how proud I am to have lived my life working with my kids.”

Watch this incredible monologue yourself below.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm furious with Jones and his recent decisions for the team, but on a personal level, I can't help but think the world of a man who puts his family in such a high place. True enough, Jones' family is involved in everything, including the Cowboys. You often see them at events, and taking part in official moments concerning the team.

I'm seeing a new side of Jerry Jones that I'm incredibly touched by... but I still want him to step down as manager. It would make more time for his acting career.
