Missouri Democrat Congresswoman Cori Bush high-tailed it away from an interview when President Joe Biden was brought up. Not that anyone can blame her, since Biden is one of the most toxic Democrats to ever hold office. Just being near him makes your own career harder.
The political editor of NBC affiliate KSDK in St. Louis, Mark Maxwell, posted a small clip to Twitter that showed Bush in an interview with him and being asked whether or not Joe Biden should run for a second term in office. The moment the question was asked, Bush became very uneasy and expressed that she didn’t want to answer that question at all.
It’s an easy question,” Maxwell said as Bush stammered after he asked. “You know, it’s not going to take long. Do you want to see Joe Biden run?”
“I don’t want to answer that question because we have not — that’s not — yeah, I don’t want to answer that question,” Bush replied.
Bush noted that he has the right to run for a second term but reiterated that she doesn’t want to give a direct answer. From off-camera, you can hear an aide tell her that it’s time for her to leave. Bush got up saying she has to get to “the other thing” and then left.
Does Congresswoman Cori Bush want to see Joe Biden run for a second term?
An aide interjects.
“I don’t want to answer that question,” she says, adding, “He’s the President. He has the right to run for a second term.”

Bush’s hesitance speaks volumes, but now about herself. Biden’s popularity has been dropping like a stone for some time and with no end in sight. His continued bungling of everything, from policy to press interviews, has so damaged Democrats that the midterms have been all but given up on by the left.
Democrats probably have less of a love for the man than even Republicans do, and unless something changes fast, then their chances for any victory in 2024 will also be slim to none.
If Bush had endorsed Biden, it likely would have been a serious blow to her own credibility. This says a lot about the state of the Democrat Party. At this time, it’s leaderless and directionless. It’s every man for himself.
Meanwhile, support for Biden is coming from obvious bots as RedState has previously covered.

Bush refusing to support Biden in any way is a smart idea on her part. Shunting unpopularity to Biden and Biden alone may help keep a career afloat but given the current course of the Democrat Party’s popularity, none of these politicians will be safe for long.
